St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 59 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Mary Toups Richard, 45, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 1, 2025, at 5:36 pm for domestic abuse battery-aggravated. Bail has not been set at this time.

Shane Eugene Richard, 30, Franklin, LA, was arrested on April 1, 2025, at 5:36 pm for domestic abuse battery and violation of protective orders. Bail has not been set at this time.
