St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 66 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Shawn Case Lovell Sr., 47, Berwick, LA, was arrested on March 31, 2025, at 4:22 pm for theft. Bail has not been set at this time.

Taj Kenneth Closson, 18, Franklin, LA, was arrested on March 31, 2025, at 10:47 pm for extortion, cyberstalking/electronic mail, and telephone calls/harassment. Bail has not been set at this time.
