St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 86 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Kobbie Javon George, 44, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on March 7, 2025, at 10:04 am fon a warrant for possession of firearm-felon and illegal use of weapons or dangerous instrumentalities. Bail has been set at $85,000.

 

Omar Edwin Carcamo-Banegas, 29, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on March 8, 2025, at 12:12 am for misuse of 911. Bail was set at $2,500.

 

Michael Lewis, 62, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on March 8, 2025, at 3:39 pm for violation of protective orders, violation of protective orders, and battery-simple. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Amber Gunnells, 36, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on March 8, 2025, at 11:47 pm for criminal trespass and resisting arrest or officer. Bail was set at $6,000.
