St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Santiago Navarrete Castillo, 29, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on February 11, 2025, at 9:43 pm for violation of protective orders. Bail was set at $5,000.

 

Eugene Freeman, 83, Franklin, LA, was arrested on February 11, 2025, at 11:56 am for domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $2,500.

 

Jason Roy Cavalier, 47, Patterson, LA, was arrested on February 11, 2025, at 3:37 pm for theft and remaining on land or in places after being forbidden and theft. Bail was set at $5,000.
