St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 46 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Wences Elias, 31, Amelia, LA, was arrested on January 29, 2025, at 7:08 pm for indecent behavior with juvenile(s) and sexual battery-rubbing touching. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Megan Ann Briggs, 36, Marksville, LA, was arrested on January 29, 2025, at 8:14 pm on six warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal trespass, theft (3 counts), and entering upon/remaining in places after being forbidden. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Anthony Wayne Bonner, 50, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 29, 2025, at 10:52 am on six warrants for failure to appear on the following charges:

  • Possession of schedule IV drugs
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Driving under suspension
  • Improper turn/failure to give signal
  • Possession of heroin
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Theft of more than $5,000 but less than $25,000

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Hunter Jean Boudreaux, 23, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 29, 2025, at 12:47 pm for battery-simple.  Boudreaux continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Jared Paul Bourque, 30, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on January 29, 2025, at 12:47 pm for battery-simple.  Bourque continues to be incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center.

 

Shamus Michael Dardeau, 49, Sunset, LA, was arrested on January 28, 2025, at 1:24 pm on two warrants for failure to appear. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Devin James Dinger, 30, New Iberia, LA, was arrested on January 29, 2025, at 5:52 pm for theft by shoplifting. Bail was set at $1,500.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Christian Barard, 26, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on January 29, 2025, at 11:42 am on the following charges:

  • Window tint
  • Possession of schedule IV (Alprazolam)
  • Possession of schedule IV (Tramadol)
  • Possession of schedule II (Hydrocodone)
  • Possession of schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Entering contraband into a penal institution

Bail has not been set at this time.
