St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 57 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

 

Alec George Race Jr., 54, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2025, at 10:51 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule I drug with intent to distribute
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Traffic incident

Dezzie Jane Booty, 45, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2025, at 10:51 pm on the following charges:

• Possession of methamphetamines with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule I drug with intent to distribute
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of a legend drug without prescription
• Resisting arrest or officer

On January 27th, 2025, a detective observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 with no rear lights. A traffic stop was initiated and the detective along with a K9 deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Alec Race, and a passenger, identified as Dezzie Booty.

Through the investigation, drugs and drug paraphernalia were located inside the vehicle and seized. A scale and plastic bags were also discovered and seized.

Upon attempting to place Booty into custody, she jerked away from the deputies and had to be restrained to be placed into cuffs.

Booty and Race were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Jamon Clayborn Bias, 44, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2025, at 2:25 pm for battery-aggravated. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Daniel Rideaux, 47, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2025, at 11:19 am on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of criminal trespassing and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Bail has not been set at this time.

 

John Anthony Boyd Sr., 55, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2025, at 11:04 am for domestic abuse battery and on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled and improper lane usage. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Lydia Mary Boudreaux, 34, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 28, 2025, at 1:38 am on a warrant for failure to appear for the charge of possession of marijuana. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Kylon M. Garrison, 20, Berwick, LA, was arrested on January 27, 2025, at 10:21 pm on the following charges:

• Improper lane use
• Possession of schedule II (Vyvanse)
• Possession of schedule I with the intent to distribute (marijuana)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia

Bail was set at $15,000.
