St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Tyjon Zari Antwain Folse, 19, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 16, 2025, at 8:09 pm for burglary-simple (7 counts).

On January 11, 2024, deputies were dispatched to Patterson in reference to several vehicle burglaries in the area. Patrol deputies opened an investigation and made an arrest in reference to the burglaries on one suspect.

SMPSO Detectives continued the investigation and obtained a search warrant for a residence on Natalie Lane.  On January 16, 2025, detectives executed the search warrant and subsequently located a stolen firearm. The suspect, Tyjon Folse, was taken in for questioning and through the investigation was linked to the vehicle burglaries in the area. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.

 

Milton Burley Green Jr., 38, Franklin, LA, was arrested on January 16, 2025, at 4:25 pm for entry on or remaining on premises after forbidden. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Eddie Tyrone Mayfield, 39, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 16, 2025, at 1:26 pm for parole violation. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Megan Marie Businelle, 34, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 16, 2025, at 8:18 pm for expired driver's license and resisting an officer by giving false information. Businelle was released on a $2,750 bond.
