St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 44 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Craig J. Theriot Jr., 63, Amelia, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2025, at 4:26 pm for domestic abuse battery by strangulation. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Michael Shane Thomas Sr., 40, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 14, 2025, at 10:45 pm for battery-simple-involving domestic violence. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Bethany Crochet White, 28, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 15, 2025, at 5:20 am on a warrant for failure to appear for criminal neglect of family. Bail was set at $4817.74.
