St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Rayshell Lawanda Williams, 37, Beaumont, TX, was arrested on January 13, 2025, at 3:50 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charge of theft. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Cory Robert Frank Jones, 39, Patterson, LA, was arrested on January 13, 2025, at 9:20 pm for theft and on a warrant for failure to appear for the charge of operating a vehicle while license is suspended/revoked/canceled. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Jason Matthews, 43, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on January 13, 2025, at 4:24 pm for possession of schedule II (cocaine) and obstruction of justice. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Hodges Matthews Jr., 18, Baldwin, LA, was arrested on January 13, 2025, at 4:24 on the following charges:

• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of schedule II (hydrocodone)
• Possession of schedule II (cocaine) with intent to distribute
• Transactions involving drug proceeds
• Violation of uniform CDS law-drug free zone
