St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72 -hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 134 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Dinah Dru Richard, 31, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 13, 2024, at 2:59 pm for the charges of forgery, theft (over $5,000), and malfeasance in office. Richard was released on a $91,000 bond.

 

Cordell Jerome Johnson Jr., 23, Franklin, LA, was arrested on December 13, 2024, at 5:12 pm on a Franklin P.D. warrant for the following charges:

  • Attempted 2nd-degree murder
  • Illegal use of weapons or dangerous instruments
  • Criminal damage to property-aggravated
  • Possession of firearm-felon
  • Illegal possession of stolen firearms

Bail was set at $500,000.

 

Christopher Allen Oubre II, 29, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on December 14, 2024, at 3:01 am for the following charges:

  • Failure to signal turn
  • Driving under suspension
  • Possession of methamphetamines
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Bail was set at $7,750.

 

Shawna Lynnette Smith, 45, Berwick, LA, was arrested on December 14, 2024, at 2:51 am for the following charges:

  • Obstruction of justice-tampering
  • Possession of marijuana
  • Possession of methamphetamines
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Bail was set at $7,750.

 

Jeffery David Warnecke, 31, Amarillo, TX, was arrested on December 15, 2024, at 8:47 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and open container. Bail was set at $4,500.

 

Nija Jamall Jackson, 28, Lake Charles, LA, was arrested on December 15, 2024, at 8:47 pm for the following charges:

  • Driver must be licensed
  • Driving on roadway laned for traffic
  • Procedure on approach of an authorized emergency vehicle
  • Bribery

Bail was set at $6,500.

 

Jeffrey Lagrange, 57, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 13, 2024, at 12:49 pm for hit and run (2 counts) and driving while intoxicated. Bail was set at $1,500.
