St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell Announces Investigations in Two Shooting Cases Are Ongoing, One Arrest Has Been Made

Jaidyn Delasbour, 17, Patterson, LA, was arrested on December 7, 2024, at 8:44 am for criminal damage to property-aggravated.  Bail was set at $50,000.

On Thursday, November 28, 2024, dispatch received a call of possible shots fired in the area of Chatsworth Road in the Franklin area. Deputies arrived at the location and found bullet holes in a vehicle, a fence, and several houses in the area.

SMPSO detectives were called to the scene and the investigation was handed over to them. Through the investigation, Jaidyn Delasbour was developed as the suspect.

On December 7, 2024, Delasbour was arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking.

On Tuesday, December 3, 2024, deputies responded to a call of shots fired in the Baldwin area. A female motorist reported to the Baldwin Police Department that her vehicle had been struck by gunfire on Highway 83.

SMPSO detectives were called to the scene, and as the investigation progressed, detectives learned that a house on Pinell Lane had been struck by projectiles as well.
