St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 86 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Karen Elizabeth Lebouef, 30, New Orleans, LA, was arrested on November 1, 2024, at 7:55 am for battery-simple. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Carlos Duarte, 18, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2024, at 9:52 pm for the following charges:

  • Reckless operation with accident
  • No driver's license
  • Open container
  • Purchase and public possession of alcoholic beverages
  • Obstruction of justice-tampering
  • Identity theft
  • Resisting arrest or officer

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Joel Thomas Gaspard, 46, Pierre Part, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2024, at 7:57 am for disturbing the peace intoxicated. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Carlos Garcia, 20, Amelia, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2024, at 6:10 am for the following charges:

  • Underage operating while intoxicated
  • Careless operation w/accident
  • Driver must be licensed
  • Expired license plate

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Joshua Gabriel Watkins, 32, Labadieville, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2024, at 9:58 am on a warrant for failure to appear for driving under suspension, failure to stop/yield, and no proof of insurance. Watkins was released on a $500 bond.

 

Logan Michael Stevens, 18, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2024, at 7:38 pm for the following charges:

  • Theft (2 counts)
  • Resisting arrest or officer
  • Illegal carrying of weapons-drug free zone
  • Illegal carrying of a weapon

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Shelton Paul Leblanc Jr., 52, Lafayette, LA, was arrested on November 2, 2024, at 9:44 pm for battery of emergency room personnel. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Rufus Scott Ackman Jr., 55, Franklin, LA, was arrested on November 4, 2024, at 12:39 am for assault-simple, false imprisonment, and disturbing the peace intoxicated. Bail has not been set at this time.
