St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Cynthia Ann Metrejean, 36, Berwick, LA, was arrested on October 16, 2024, at 10:43 am for entry/remaining on premises after being forbidden. Metrejean was released on a $500 bond.

 

Darwin Mendoza, 19, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 16, 2024, at 6:29 pm for maximum speed limit, no driver's license, and aggravated flight from an officer. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Emerson Fabian Parada-Amaya, 21, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 16, 2024, at 9:28 am on a LSP warrant for vehicular homicide. Parada-Amaya is being held for another agency.

 

Doneyda Canizales, 42, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on October 16, 2024, at 2:35 pm on a LSP warrant for vehicular homicide. Bail was set at $75,000.
