St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 135 complaints and reports the following arrests:

Miguel Chub-Sub, 35, Amelia, LA, was arrested on October 12, 2024, at 2:33 am for attempted 2nd-degree murder.

Rolando Chub-Sub, 23, Amelia, LA, was arrested on October 12, 2024, at 2:33 am for attempted 2nd-degree murder.

German Chub-Sub, 32, Amelia, LA, was arrested on October 12, 2024, at 2:33 am for attempted 2nd-degree murder.

 

On October 11, 2024, an SMPSO detective received a call out in reference to a fight on Martin Lane in Amelia involving multiple people with a gun and knife present. Upon arrival, the detective spoke to deputies who had responded to the initial complaint and learned that Miguel, Rolando, and German had attacked a male victim who was transported to a medical facility with stab wounds.

All three were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the charge of attempted 2nd-degree murder. Bail has not been set, and the incident remains under investigation.

 

 

Daniel Lee Lemon Jr., 18, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on October 11, 2024, at 9:19 am for obscenity. Lemon was released on a $100 bond.

 

Eric Gene Watson Jr., 40, Patterson, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2024, at 10:56 pm for unauthorized entry of a dwelling-attempted and criminal trespass. Bail has not been set.

 

Shannon Gail Wright, 34, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2024, at 6:32 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for theft.  Bail has not been set.

 

John Wayne Alcina Jr., 39, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2024, at 7:12 pm for theft, resisting arrest or officer, and remaining in places on or land after being forbidden.  Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Korianne Marie Buck Parker, 35, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2024, at 7:12 pm for obstruction of justice-tampering and principal to theft.  Bail was set at $6,000.

 

Terrance Miguel Ballet Sr., 35, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2024, at 3:44 pm for aggravated assault with a firearm, criminal mischief-false report, and possession of firearm-felon.  Ballet also held an active warrant with the Jeanerette Police Department. Bail has not been set at this time and a hold has been placed for another agency.

 

Johnny Freeman Jr., 73, Franklin, LA, was arrested on October 13, 2024, at 8:10 pm on a warrant for failure to appear.  Bail has not been set at this time.
