St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 168 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Chad Mitchell Ferguson, 30, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on September 22, 2024, at 9:21 pm for entry/remaining on premises after being forbidden, and on a warrant for theft. Bail was set at $3,500.

 

Alex Wayne Horton, 35, Amelia, LA, was arrested on September 22, 2024, at 11:50 am for domestic abuse battery by strangulation. Bail was set at $7,500.

 

Brett Michael Sanders, 33, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on September 20, 2024, at 6:57 pm for criminal damage to property-simple. Sanders was released on a $500 bond.

 

Brody Peyton Louviere, 17, Franklin, LA, was arrested on September 20, 2024, at 10:44 am for possession of marijuana w/intent to distribute, possession of CDS (drug-free zone), and unlawful sale/purchase/possession of tobacco by person under 18. Louviere was released on a $16,000 bond.

 

 

Natasha Lynn Brinlee, 46, Franklin, LA, was arrested on September 21, 2024, at 5:06 pm for theft (3 counts). Brinlee was released on a $4,500 bond.

 

Maria Veronica Hernandez, 52, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on September 21, 2024, at 9:32 am for the following charges:

• Maximum speed limits
• Turning movements and required signals
• Stop signs and yield signs
• Reckless operation-no accident
• Resisting an officer by flight
• Resisting arrest or officer

Hernandez was released on a $5,500 bond.

 

Brooke Constance Spencer, 34, Patterson, LA, was arrested on September 22, 2024, at 5:26 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting. Spencer was released on a $1,000 bond.

 

April Lynn Aucoin, 44, Patterson, LA, was arrested on September 22, 2024, at 12:51 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the following charges:

• Possession of marijuana
• Possession of methamphetamine
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of CDS

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Curtis Lashown Archangel, 49, Jeanerette, LA, was arrested on September 22, 2024, at 6:31 pm for reckless operation-no accident and speeding. Bail was set at $1,000.

 

Brandon Lee Grant, 42, Bayou Vista, LA, was arrested on September 23, 2024, at 8:07 pm for domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $6,000.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Kamryn Kinchen, 17, Franklin, LA, was arrested on September 20, 2024, at 11:35 am for possession of an unregistered weapon and possession of an automatic weapon (3 counts).

Mycal Jmon Kinchen, 19, Franklin, LA, was arrested on September 20, 2024, at 11:35 am for possession of an unregistered weapon and possession of an automatic weapon (3 counts). Bail was set at $350,000.

On September 20, 2024, SMPSO Narcotics Detectives and detectives from the SMPSO Criminal Investigations Division were joined by MCPD Narcotics Officers, Berwick PD Narcotics Officers, and Franklin PD Officers to serve a warrant at a residence in Franklin, Louisiana.

Upon executing the warrant, detectives recovered three Glock handguns that had been altered with illegal Glock Switches to make them automatic weapons.

Kamryn Kinchen and Mycal Kinchen were arrested and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail was set at $350,000.

The SMPSO is cooperating with Federal Agencies in this investigation. Thanks to the MCPD, BPD, and FPD for their assistance in this case.
