St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Juvenile Male, 16, Franklin, LA, was arrested on August 19, 2024, at 3:32 pm for disturbing the peace by fighting and assault on a school teacher. The juvenile male was released into the custody of a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

Chris Smith, 39, Patterson, LA, was arrested on August 20, 2024, at 10:35 pm for resisting an officer and theft.  Bail has not been set at this time.
