St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Amy Lyn Benoit, 34, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on July 16, 2024, at 6:15 am on a warrant for failure to appear for introduction of contraband-penal institution and conspiracy to distribution of a schedule II CDS (hydrocodone). Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Carl Jude Trahan II, 30, Erath, LA, was arrested on July 16, 2024, at 1:01 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charge of domestic abuse battery. Bail was set at $15,000.

 

Eugenia Nirvana Hernandez-Nevejar, 24, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on July 16, 2024, at 1:22 pm for theft and forgery. Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Lonny Ray Baker Sr., 58, Morgan City, LA, was arrested on July 16, 2024, at 2:09 pm on two warrants for failure to appear for the following charges:

• Theft
• Possession of schedule II CDS (cocaine)
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of marijuana

Bail has not been set at this time.

 

Valerie Lynn Williamson, 45, Gibson, LA, was arrested on July 16, 2024, at 4:40 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for the charges of resisting an officer with force or violence and interfering with a law enforcement investigation. Bail was set at $8,000.

 

NARCOTICS SECTION

Justin Anthony Singleton, 34, Houma, LA, was arrested on July 16, 2024, at 1:39 pm for possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, possession of drug paraphernalia, and transactions involving drug proceeds. Bail was set at $100,000.
