St. Mary Parish Sheriff Gary Driskell advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff's Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests:

NARCOTICS SECTION

Gary L. Durden, 50, Gibson, LA, was arrested on June 24, 2024, at 7:23 pm on two SMPSO warrants for failure to appear and one SMPSO Narcotics warant on the following charges:

• Resisting an officer by providing false information
• Theft of less than $1,000
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession with the intent to distribute Schedule I (fentanyl)
• Introduction of contraband/penal institution

Bail has not been set at this time.
