At 12:14 pm on August 28, 2014, the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received a complaint of a stolen boat from a property located on Highway 83 in Ashton. Upon investigating the complaint, deputies learned that a 26 foot party vessel (converted from a shrimp boat) and trailer were taken from the property. The last time the boat was seen was approximately two weeks prior to the complaint. The vessel has been entered into the National Crime Information Center. The boat is described as having green molding, white sides, and a green bottom.
