Arrest Report - May 11, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Caswick Naverro, 22, 1323 France Street, New Orleans, LA was arrested on May 10, 2017 at 6:46 pm for turning movements and required signals violation and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for failing to signal a turn on Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista. A deputy assisting with the stop found that the driver, Naverro, was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. Naverro was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2017.

 

Glynn Wilson, 45, 307 Myrtle Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on May 10, 2017 at 7:16 pm on a warrant for turning movements and required signals violation, possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine), and obstruction of justice. A deputy observed Wilson traveling in a vehicle on US Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. The deputy knew that there was an active warrant for Wilson’s arrest and stopped the vehicle. Wilson was taken into custody and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set. The warrant stems from a traffic stop investigation conducted in March by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section on US Highway 90 in Patterson. Detectives located suspected crack cocaine inside the vehicle. Following the investigation, detectives obtained a warrant for Wilson’s arrest. No bail is set.

 

Chris Cahee, 30, 414 North Prater Street, Lake Charles, LA was arrested on May 10, 2017 at 8:03 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of illegal carrying of weapons. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for Cahee’s arrest. No bail is set.

 

Charles Scott, 60, 300 Georgetown Drive, Avondale, LA was arrested on May 10, 2017 at 11:19 pm for speeding (construction zone) and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy observed a vehicle traveling 63 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour construction zone on US Highway 90 in Berwick. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver who was identified as Scott. The deputy found that Scott was driving the vehicle with a suspended license. Scott was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2017.

 

Tam Le, 35, 205 Gwynn Street, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on May 10, 2017 at 11:55 pm for speeding (construction zone). A deputy observed a vehicle traveling 73 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour construction zone on US Highway 90 in Berwick. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver who was identified as Le. Following the investigation, Le was released on a summons to appear in court on August 15, 2017.

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Section made the following arrests: 

 

Calvin Valentine Jr., 35, 313 Egle Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on May 10, 2017 at 8:06 pm for improper lane usage, possession of Schedule II (oxycodone) with intent to distribute and transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses. Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section observed a vehicle cross over the fog line of US Highway 90 in Berwick and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver, Valentine, detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located oxycodone pills. Through investigation, detectives learned that Valentine did not have a prescription for the pills and was selling the drugs. Detectives also located $1,400 in cash on Valentine’s person. The money is suspected to be derived from the illegal sale of drugs. Valentine was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
