Arrest Report - April 12, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 42 complaints and reports the following arrests: 

 

Stephan A. Fontenet, 18, 2529 Pelican Court, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on April 11, 2017 at 1:33 pm on a warrant for theft. In August of 2016, a detective investigating the theft of a vending machine from a vacant property on LA Highway 318 near LA Highway 83 positively identified a suspect as Fontenet and obtained a warrant for his arrest. A correctional officer transported Fontenet from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Ricky J. Hayes, 52, 1207 Railroad Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 11, 2017 at 2:34 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling and simple battery. Hayes was transported from the Morgan City Police Department jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail on the warrant is set at $2,500.

 

Brad Wiggins, 34, 114 Long Wood Drive, Napoleonville, LA was arrested on April 11, 2017 at 9:23 am on a 2014 warrant for domestic abuse battery. The warrant was issued following an investigation into a domestic disturbance that occurred at a residence in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected evidence that Wiggins slapped a female victim and bent her fingers during an argument. Wiggins turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Wiggins was released after posting a $100 bond set by a judge.

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Section made the following arrests:

 

Quentin K. Henry, 30, 7261 LA Highway 182, Centerville, LA was arrested on April 11, 2017 at 7:15 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Charles A. Lodrigue, III, 37, 148 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 11, 2017 at 7:15 pm for monetary instrument abuse.Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Brashear Avenue in Morgan City after observing the driver fail to signal several turns. Detectives made contact with several occupants inside the pick-up truck, including Henry and Lodrigue, and received consent to search the vehicle. Detectives located methamphetamine and a syringe and collected evidence that the items belonged to Henry. After receiving consent to search Lodrigue, detectives discovered a fake $100 bill on his person. Henry and Lodrigue were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

Leroy Bailey, 31, Monroe, LA was additionally charged on April 11, 2017 at 8:08 pm on a warrant for distribution of Schedule II (Norco). Bailey was already incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center (see April 11, 2017 report) when he was booked on the warrant. Bailey was listed among those wanted in the Spring Cleaning operation conducted in March of 2016. The warrants in that operation were obtained after conducting multiple long term undercover investigations led by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division with the assistance of Vermillion and Assumption Parish Sheriff’s Offices, Louisiana State Police, and Patterson and Morgan City Police Departments. The undercover operations targeted mid to low level drug dealers. More information on that 2016 operation can be read here. Bail on the warrant is set at $10,000.
