Arrest Report - April 10, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 131 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Kevin Darby, 26, 4031 Martin Luther King Jr., Avenue, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 7, 2017 at 8:53 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. During the booking process at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located an active warrant for Darby’s arrest. No bail is set.

 

Lucius Romero, Jr., 41, 1400 North Third Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 7, 2017 at 9:56 am on a warrant failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. During the booking process at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located an active warrant for Romero’s arrest. No bail is set.

 

William Daigle Jr., 43, 733 Weeks Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on April 7, 2017 at 11:40 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A correctional officer transported Daigle from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $10,548.46.

 

Cary Breaux, 43, 317 Union Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 7, 2017 at 11:48 am on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. During the booking process at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located an active warrant for Breaux’s arrest. No bail is set.

 

Avery D. Perro, 37, 1602 Elm Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 8, 2017 at 9:14 pm for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, speeding, and possession of (open) alcoholic container in motor vehicles. A deputy patrolling the Charenton area observed a vehicle traveling 39 miles per hour in a posted 25 miles per hour zone on Martin Luther King Road near Pequot Creek Road. The deputy met with the driver, identified as Perro, and observed an open bottle of wine inside the car. The deputy also found that Perro was driving with a suspended license. Perro was released on a summons to appear in court on July 10, 2017.

 

Jodie Meranta, 48, 507 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 8, 2017 at 12:39 am on a Sixth Ward Court (Morgan City) warrant for disturbing the peace. A deputy encountered Meranta at a business on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista and located the active warrant for her arrest. Meranta was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Joseph Robertson Sr., 52, 258 Jones Road #1, Four Corners, LA was arrested on April 8, 2017 at 2:35 pm on a warrant for attempted theft and criminal trespass. A deputy located Robertson at his residence on the warrant. The warrant was issued following an investigation into a report of an attempted theft. The deputy collected statements that Robertson went on to private property and attempted to steal a bottle of propane and a propane burner. Robertson was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Robertson was released on a summons to appear in court on July 10, 2017.

 

Amanda Soudelier, 39, Rose Park Lane Lot #5, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 8, 2017 at 8:29 pm on a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for criminal damage to property, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of Schedule IV drugs with intent to distribute. A deputy located Soudelier at her residence on the warrant. Soudelier was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Rickey Glynn, 53, 3370 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 8, 2017 at 8:49 pm on a Terrebonne Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for criminal damage to property, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of Schedule I (marijuana). Glynn was also charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of hunting or taking deer at illegal hours or with artificial light, hunting or taking deer illegally from a boat or while swimming, and failure to change ownership of registration. A deputy located Glynn at his residence on the warrants and transported him to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Robert Gussman Jr., 44, Rose Park Lane Lot #5, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 9, 2017 at 1:29 am for the following:

  • Resisting an officer by providing false information
  • Obstruction of justice
  • 5 Morgan City Police Department warrants for contempt of court and other offenses

On the evening of April 8, 2017, a deputy went to the listed residence to locate Amanda Soudelier, a subject with active warrants. The deputy made contact with a male subject prior to making the warrant arrest of Soudelier. Continuing to investigate the male subject’s identity, the deputy found that the subject gave a false name. The deputy positively identified the male subject as Gussman, Jr. and located multiple active warrants for his arrest. The deputy returned to the residence. When the deputy arrived, he made eye contact with Gussman who was outside of the camper. Gussman then went into the residence and locked the door. Gussman refused the deputy’s commands to exit the camper. The deputy obtained a search warrant. When Gussman was informed of the warrant, he came out of the residence. Gussman was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Timothy David, 48, 1638 Chestnut Drive, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 9, 2017 at 11:14 am for speeding (construction zone) and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy patrolling US Highway 90 observed a vehicle traveling at 60 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour construction zone and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver, David, the deputy found that he was driving the vehicle with a suspended license. David was released on a summons to appear in court on July 10, 2017.

 

Kyle Bellard, 17, 124 Mercury Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 9, 2017 at 12:11 pm for aggravated second degree battery. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance that occurred outside of a Ricohoc residence. Through investigation, the deputy found evidence that Bellard used a cast on his arm to repeatedly strike a teenaged male juvenile during an argument. The juvenile suffered a facial fracture as a result of the battery. Bellard was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

Juvenile female, 14, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on April 9, 2017 at 4:16 pm for ungovernable juvenile and criminal damage to property. A deputy responded to a disturbance in Ricohoc and collected evidence that the juvenile damaged a wall inside the residence. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Norris Reed, Jr., 46, 2510 Highway 319, Cypremort Point, LA was arrested on April 9, 2017 at 9:02 pm for disturbing the peace (offensive language). A deputy responded to an ongoing disturbance at Cypremort Point and spoke with several subjects on scene including Reed. Reed yelled obscenities causing a disturbance in the area, despite being told by the deputy numerous times to stop. Reed was transported to St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Reed was released on a summons to appear in court on July 10, 2017.
