According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 28 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Linda Maxie, 49, 102 Van Buren Drive, Lafayette, LA was arrested on September 22, 2014 at 11:40 am at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin on a warrant for failure to abide by the conditions of probation. Maxie was released on a summons to appear on court on November 24, 2014.
Jaclyn Rodriguez, 25, 1838 Highway 83, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 22, 2014 at 7:15 pm on a Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding. A deputy located Rodriguez at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Manuel Booker, 66, 621 Anderson Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 22, 2014 at 10:00 pm for driving while intoxicated. A deputy responding to a complaint of reckless driving located a vehicle parked partially in the roadway on US Highway 90 in the Franklin area. The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Booker, and smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The deputy administered a field sobriety test. Booker conducted the test poorly. Booker later registered a 0.184g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. The deputy transported Booker to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
