Arrest Report - April 3, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 118 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Johnny Lejune, Sr., 52, 138 Joseph Lane, Four Corners, LA was arrested on March 31, 2017 at 12:38 pm for criminal trespass and disturbing the peace. A deputy was dispatched to a report of a disturbance in Four Corners. The deputy collected statements from those involved and witnesses. The deputy determined that Lejune went onto a property on Cypremort Road and verbally harassing a male victim causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. Lejune was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Lejune was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

 

Rebecca Freer, 33, 1163 LA Highway 662, Bayou L’Ourse, LA was arrested on March 31, 2017 at 6:52 pm for improper lane usage and on a warrant for improper lane usage and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle crossing the centerline on Jupiter Road and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was identified as Freer. While speaking with her, the deputy located an active warrant for her arrest. The warrant was obtained following traffic stop in Bayou Vista in February during which Narcotics Detectives located a glass pipe and other items of drug paraphernalia. Freer was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

 

Jerry Favors, 52, 1457 Gabriel Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 31, 2017 at 8:46 pm for theft of goods and resisting an officer. A deputy was dispatched to a report of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. While en route, the deputy received a description of the suspect. The deputy located a subject matching the description riding a bicycle on along Highway 182 in Patterson. The subject refused to stop and was detained. The subject was identified as Favors. During the investigation, the deputy located several items reported stolen from the store in Favors’ pockets and concealed on his person. Favors was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Favors was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

 

Lawanda Johnson, 40, 231 Happy Acres, Lot #9, Baldwin, LA was arrested on April 1, 2017 at 2:03 am for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, speeding, and possession of (open) alcoholic container in a motor vehicle. A deputy observed a vehicle traveling 70 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour zone on Highway 182 in Baldwin. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver who was identified as Johnson. The deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Johnson’s breath and administered a standardized field sobriety test. Johnson conducted the test poorly and later registered a 0.136g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. The deputy transported Johnson to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Johnson was released after posting a $3,250 bond.

 

Kenneth Dangerfield, 62, 1022 McCall Avenue, Conroe, TX was arrested on April 1, 2017 at 1:33 pm on 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple assault. During the booking process at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrants for Dangerfield. No bail is set.

 

Ronald Morgan, 52, 2366 Woodland Court, Port Allen, LA was arrested on April 1, 2017 at 10:08 pm for reckless operation of a motor vehicle, flight from an officer, and possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles. A deputy monitoring traffic on US Highway 90 in Berwick observed a vehicle traveling 95 miles per hour in a posted 45 miles per hour construction zone. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. The driver of the pick-up truck failed to pull over. With the assistance of a citizen motorist, the deputy stopped the truck. The driver was identified as Morgan. The deputy observed an open container of liquor inside the vehicle. Following the investigation, the deputy transported Morgan to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Morgan was released after posting a $2,500 bond.

 

Jerry Cross, 60, 130 Natalie Lane #69, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 1, 2017 at 10:12 pm for operating a vehicle while intoxicated 2nd offense, speeding, and possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles. A deputy observed a vehicle speeding 47 miles per hour in a posted 25 miles per hour zone on Highway 182 in Franklin and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver, Cross, the deputy smelled the odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. During the investigation, the deputy located an open bottle of liquor inside the vehicle. Cross was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Cross was released after posting a $5,750 bond.

 

Christopher Hatcher, Sr., 33, 405 Southeast Boulevard, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 3, 2017 at 3:38 am on a warrant for sexual battery. On April 2, 2017, a detective began an investigation into a complaint of indecent behavior with a juvenile. The detective collected evidence that Hatcher inappropriately touched a juvenile female victim at a residence in Bayou Vista. Hatcher came to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Morgan City in reference to the investigation. He was subsequently arrested on the warrant and transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
