Arrest Report - March 15, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 44 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Lee Boudreaux, 42, 255 North Verret Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on March 14, 2017 at 10:23 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. While investigating a complaint of a disturbance in Amelia, a deputy spoke with Boudreaux and located the active warrant for his arrest. Boudreaux was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $12,767.22.

 

Devante Frank, 24, 720 Aucoin Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 14, 2017 at 2:18 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of distribution of cocaine. A correctional officer booking Frank at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for another agency located the active warrant for his arrest. No bail is set.

 

Kevin P. Boutte, 42, 5016 Old Jeanerette Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on march 14, 2017 at 3:34 pm for speeding and driving a vehicle with a suspended license. A deputy observed a vehicle traveling at 69 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour zone on Highway 182 in the Sorrel area and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy found that the driver, identified as Boutte, was driving the car with a suspended license. Boutte was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Section made the following arrests:

  

Dejon M. Francis, 25, 301 Egle Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on march 14, 2017 at 3:46 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule II (Vyvanse)
  • Possession of Schedule IV (Xanax)
  • Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription
  • Obstruction of justice
  • Failure to signal a lane change
  • Speeding
  • No driver’s license

Jerret C. Cortez, 28, 248 Vivian Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA was arrested on March 14, 2017 at 3:46 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Obstruction of justice

Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section patrolling US Highway 90 in the Berwick area observed a vehicle traveling 70 miles per hour and changing lanes without signaling. Detectives stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver, Francis, and passenger, Cortez. Detectives found that Francis was driving the car without a license. Detectives received consent to search and located a Vyvanse pill on Francis’ person and bags of marijuana inside the vehicle. Francis repeatedly denied that she had anything else on her person. However, detectives located several bags of methamphetamine, Xanax pills, and a Legend Drug for which Francis did not have a prescription. Detectives found that a tin can Cortez was holding contained pieces of methamphetamine. While searching Cortez, he attempted to conceal a glass pipe that was hidden in his waistband. Detectives also collected evidence that Francis sold methamphetamine. Francis and Cortez were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

Graceland Gamble, 29, 1513 Gum Street, Apt. #15, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 14, 2017 at 9:12 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule I (synthetic cannabinoids) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of Schedule IV (tramadol)
  • Possession of Schedule I (MDMA) 

Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office conducted a joint investigation with the Franklin Police Department into complaints about illegal drug activity at a residence on Gum Street. Detectives developed Gamble as a suspect and obtained a warrant to search her residence. Detectives along with the Franklin Police Department conducted the search located several bags of synthetic cannabinoids, multiple MDMA and tramadol pills, marijuana, a marijuana grinder and other items of drug paraphernalia. Through the investigation, detectives also collected evidence that Gamble sold the illegal synthetic drugs. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
