Arrest Report - March 9, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Lacey Horton, 28, 317 D Coteau Holmes Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on March 8, 2017 at 8:33 am on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located Horton at a residence on Gibbs Road in Jeanerette and transported her to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $100,000.

 

Mindy Macaluso, 33, 135 Laura Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 8, 2017 at 12:12 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Macaluso at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. She was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Bail is set at $3,297.14.

 

Abdul Tate, 22, 616 Cypremort Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on March 8, 2017 at 12:42 pm on 2 warrants for failure to appear on a warrant for operating a vehicle with a suspended license. Tate turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. He was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Tate was released on a $1,250 bond.

 

Rigoberto Barrios, 31, 333 Glenwood Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 8, 2017 at 1:43 pm on a warrant for criminal damage to property. In November of 2015, a deputy responded to a complaint of property damage at a business on Highway 182 in Siracusa. The deputy gathered evidence that Barrios pushed a door excessively hard causing the glass in the door to break. A deputy located Barrios at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. He was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

 

Anna Holmes, 38, 611 ½ Ibert Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 8, 2017 at 11:28 am on a warrant for criminal trespass and reckless operation of a vehicle. In December of 2016 deputies responded to a report of a possible illegal discharge of firearm on Chauvin Lane in Franklin. Deputies found no evidence of gunfire. They did find an overturned vehicle in the yard of a residence. Through the course of the investigation, deputies learned that the driver, Holmes, traveled through 2 yards striking a lemon tree, a swing set, and a utility trailer. Holmes also drove into a utility pole causing it to break in half and overturning the vehicle. Holmes was arrested by Louisiana State Police for impaired driving. Following the Sheriff’s Office investigation of the incident, the deputy obtained a warrant for Holmes on additional charges in the incident. Holmes was located at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. She was released on a summons to appear in court on June 13, 2017.

 

Salvadore Francois, 19, 118 Natalie Lane Lot #63, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 9, 2017 at 4:30 am for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of Schedule IV (tramadol)
  • Resisting an officer by providing false information
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of improper signaling and operating a vehicle with an inadequate windshield

 

Tamoz Allen, 21, 271 Grandwood Drive, Apt. #29, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 9, 2017 at 4:30 am for possession of Schedule IV (tramadol).

 

While searching the area for the suspect in an attempted vehicle burglary complaint, a deputy received a report of a suspicious vehicle parked at The Swamp skate park in Bayou Vista. The deputy observed marijuana inside the vehicle. While collecting information on the mini-van, the deputy observed 2 male subjects walking on South Road. The deputy identified the subjects as Francois and Allen and learned that Francois had driven the vehicle to the location. Francois initially gave the deputy a false name. Deputies made contact with the vehicle’s owner and received consent to search. The marijuana was recovered. Deputies also located a prescription pill bottle containing over 2 dozen tramadol pills. The label on the bottle indicated that the prescription pills did not belong to Francois or Allen. The deputy also located an active warrant for Francois. Following the investigation, Francois and Allen were transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Section made the following arrests: 

 

Juvenile male, 16, Four Corners, LA was arrested on march 8, 2017 at 2:35 pm for possession of Schedule IV (tramadol). While investigating a report of possible illegal discharge of a firearm on Sorrel Lane, deputies and the K-9 Unit received consent to search a residence in Four Corners. While inside, the narcotics detective observed a tramadol pill in the juvenile’s room and collected evidence that the drug belonged to him. The juvenile was released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Jacob Adams, 18, 26586 Oliver Wheat Road, Baton Rouge, LA was arrested on March 8, 2017 at 2:58 pm for the following offenses:

  • Improper lane usage
  • No driver’s license on person
  • Expired motor vehicle inspection
  • No proof of insurance
  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana) 

Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section patrolling Morgan City observed a vehicle using the turning lane as a travel lane on Highway 182. Detectives conducted a traffic stop near Roderick Street and found that the driver, Adams, did not have his driver’s license or proof of insurance with him. They also observed that the vehicle’s inspection was expired. While speaking with detectives, Adams produced a prescription pill bottle. Detectives observed a bag of marijuana inside the bottle. Adams was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. He was released on a $3,000 bond.

Leonard Ceasar, 32, 205 Martin Luther King Road, Baldwin, LA was arrested on March 8, 2017 at 7:28 pm for the following offenses.

  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of Schedule I (heroin) with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule II (cocaine) with intent to distribute
  • Transactions involving drug offenses   

Narcotics detectives patrolling Baldwin observed a vehicle parked in a marked no parking zone on Lincoln Street. As they approached the car, detectives smelled the odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle and saw the passenger holding a marijuana cigar in his hand. The subject was identified as Ceasar. During his arrest, detectives located large bags of cocaine and heroin along with a pack of plastic baggies and $880 in cash in Ceasar’s pockets and on his person. Through investigation, detectives found that Ceasar intended to sell the drugs. Detectives also suspect that the money was derived from the sales of illegal drugs. Ceasar was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.
