Arrest Report - February 24, 2017

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 49 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jeffry Norris, 36, 204 Dar Chester Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on February 23, 2017 at 7:13 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A correctional officer was notified by the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office that a subject with an active bench warrant from St. Mary Parish had been taken into custody. Norris was booked into the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center and transferred to the Lafayette Parish jail.

 

Anson T. Paul, 39, 407 Liner Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on February 23, 2017 at 1:48 pm on a warrant for theft of goods. A detective investigating an August report of shoplifting from a store in Bayou Vista identified Paul as a suspect who attempted to leave the store with a stolen DVD player. A warrant was issued for Paul’s arrest. He turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Paul was released on a $2,500 bond.

 

Jeremy H. Watterson, 31, 7802 Kayla Drive, New Iberia, LA was arrested on February 23, 2017 at 313 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal damage to property. A correctional officer transported Watterson from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. Watterson was released on a $5,000 bond.

 

Chase Martin, 21, 3009 Highway 182, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 23, 2017 at 9:25 pm for domestic abuse battery deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Patterson. During the investigation, the deputy found evidence that Martin pushed a male victim to the floor. Martin was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that the Narcotics Division made the following arrests: 

 

Camille Landry, 65, 260 Ricohoc Drive, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on February 23, 2017 at 6:02 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Kathy Landry, 59, 250 Ricohoc Drive, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on February 23, 2017 at 6:02 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section went to the address listed above to investigate possible illegal drug activity at the residence. Detectives spoke with the occupants, C. Landry and K. Landry, who admitted to possessing and smoking marijuana. Detectives located the marijuana, a grinder, rolling papers and other drug paraphernalia. Both subjects were released on summonses to appear in court on May 10, 2017.
