Arrest Report September 18, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 43 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Christopher J. Howard, 31, 1016 Cypremort Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 17, 2014 at 9:35 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy located Howard at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. After booking at the parish jail, Howard was released on a $1,400 bail.

 

Kenneth Diamond, 58, 202 Lake Palourde Road, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 17, 2014 at 12:13 pm for stop signs and yield signs (failure to stop) and ona  warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed the driver of a vehicle run a stop sign at the intersection of LA Highway 182 and the frontage road. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, identified as Diamond. During the investigation, the deputy learned of the active warrant for Diamond’s arrest. The deputy transported Diamond to the parish jail. Diamond was later released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Tia Conner, 21, 229 Jones Road #1, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on September 17, 2014 at 5:15 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of direct contempt, speeding, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy investigating a separate complaint made contact with Conner and learned of the active warrant for her arrest. The deputy transported Conner to the parish jail for booking. Conner was released on $349.50 bail.

 

Nickolas Morris, 26, 2808 Lake Palourde Road, Lot #5, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 17, 2014 at 11:27 pm for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment) and domestic abuse battery (pregnant victim). A deputy responded to a complaint of a possible battery at a residence in Amelia. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Morris and a female victim became involved in an argument that turned physical when Morris grabbed the female victim. There was a child in the home at the time of the encounter. The deputy located Morris at his residence and following the investigation, transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
