Arrest Report September 17, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 45 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Hector Rivera, 41, 5007 Charlies Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 16, 2014 at 8:50 am for possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription. A deputy responding to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista made contact with Rivera. While speaking with Rivera, the deputy received consent to search his backpack and located the pills for which Rivera did not have a prescription. The deputy transported Rivera to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Juvenile female, 15, Galliano, LA was arrested on September 16, 2014 at 11:17 am for runaway juvenile. A deputy was informed by the Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office of a runaway juvenile that was possibly in St. Mary parish. The deputy located the juvenile at a residence in Bayou Vista. The juvenile was released to the custody of Lafourche Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives.

 

Xavier McGhee, 23, 413 9th Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 16, 2014 at 10:20 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, speeding, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy located McGhee at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin on the warrant. McGhee was transported to the parish jail for booking. McGhee was released on an $88 bail.

 

Blake Smith, 23, 314 Taft Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 16, 2014 at 12:45 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal trespassing. A deputy located Smith at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse on the warrant. Smith was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

John Cooper, 25, 200 Williams Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 16, 2014 at 3:58 pm on a two Lafayette Parish warrants for failure to appear. The original charges are driving under suspension and speeding. A deputy investigating a report of a crash on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista made contact with Cooper and learned of the warrant for his arrest. Cooper was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Michelle Ashley, 45, 122 South Verret Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on September 16, 2014 at 7:07 pm for domestic abuse aggravated assault. A deputy responded to a welfare concern complaint at a residence on South Verret Street. During the course of the investigation, the deputy learned that Ashley brandished a knife in a threatening manner at a male victim during an argument. The deputy transported Ashley to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Cole Fruge, 22, 1302 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 16, 2014 at 8:52 pm on a warrant for criminal trespass. A deputy patrolling the Bayou Vista area located Fruge on the front porch of a residence on Saturn Road on the warrant. The August 26th warrant stems from an investigation into a trespassing complaint. Fruge was identified as the subject seen jumping over a fence at a residence. Fruge was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released on a $1,000 bond.
