Arrest Report September 15, 2014

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 111 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Gregory I. Johnson, 54, 505 Brashear Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 12, 2014 at 8:12 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of illegal possession of stolen things and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle without properly lit lamps for conditions and operating a vehicle not covered by insurance. Johnson turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. No bail is set.

 

Patricia Henry, 49, 403 Bollard Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on September 13, 2014 at 9:15 pm on a Texas Department of Criminal Justice Parole Division warrant for parole violation. A deputy located Henry at her residence on the warrant. The deputy transported Henry to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Travis Wells, 33, 106 Southeast Boulevard, Apt. #8, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 13, 2014 at 10:16 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxication) and resisting an officer (providing false information). Wells was also booked on a warrant from the 32nd Judicial District Court for failure to appear on the charges of criminal trespass and obscenity. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Southeast Boulevard and made contact with Wells. The deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Wells’ person. As the deputy began to escort Wells from the premises, Wells began to yell at another subject. The deputy transported Wells to the parish jail for booking. During booking, the deputy learned that Wells identified himself by a false name. Bail is set at $2,000.

 

Eder O. Calles, 33, 812 Colonia Morelos, Tampico, Mexico was arrested on September 13, 2014 at 11:00 pm for the following offenses:

- Aggravated flight from an officer

- Maximum speed limit

- Failure to signal a lane change

- No drivers license

A deputy patrolling the Amelia area observed a vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle then accelerated and passed another vehicle on the roadway. The deputy followed the vehicle which came to a stop in the 8000 block of Highway 182 in Amelia. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Calles. Following an investigation, the deputy transported Calles to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Ryan Savell, 30, 6656 Highway 182, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 13, 2014 at 11:07 pm for driving while intoxicated, no drivers license, and possession of an open alcoholic container in a motor vehicle. A deputy responded to a two vehicle crash on US Highway 90 in the Patterson area. While on the scene of the crash, the deputy located an open container of beer inside the vehicle Savell was operating. The deputy made contact with Savell at Teche Regional Medical Center where he was being treated for injuries sustained in the crash. During the course of the crash investigation, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on Savell’s person and a blood sample was taken to determine Savell’s blood alcohol concentration. The deputy released Savell on a signature bond due his medical condition.

 

Hector Rivera, Jr., 41, 1507 Charles Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 14, 2014 at 9:01 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Upon arrival, the deputy learned from store personnel that Rivera was seen concealing items in his backpack before attempting to leave the store without paying for the goods. The deputy released Rivera on a summons to appear in court on November 24, 2014.
