Arrest Report - December 2, 2016

St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert advises that over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Travis Alexander, 28, 1228 Weeks Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 6:00 am for speeding and operating a vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. A deputy observed a vehicle traveling 79 miles per hour in a posted 55 miles per hour zone on Highway 90 in Berwick. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke Alexander, the driver of the vehicle. The deputy found that Alexander was driving the car with a suspended license. Alexander was released on a summons to appear in court on March 8, 2017.

 

Naomi Courville, 39, 410 Bush Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 9:29 am on a warrant for monetary instrument abuse. She was also charged on 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charges of issuing worthless checks and a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. In November, a deputy investigating a complaint of a worthless check collected evidence that Courville wrote out a counter check to a Bayou Vista business for over $150 knowing that the account balance would not cover it. Courville turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. She was transported to the parish jail for booking. Courville was released on a $3,000 bond.

 

Dustin M. Poche, 36, 3151 Ardmore Lane, Oxnare, CA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 11:42 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt and speeding. A correctional officer transported Poche from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. The warrant was recalled and Poche was released.

 

Matthew Hebert, 34, 109 Bell Ridge Drive, Lafayette, LA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 11:44 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and driving under suspension. A correctional officer transported Hebert from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Hebert was released on a $500 bond.

 

Brandon Romero, 33, 115 Gibbs Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 1:05 pm on a warrant for criminal trespass. A deputy collected evidence that Romero entered onto a property in Glencoe without the owner’s permission. Romero turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. He was released on a summons to appear in court on March 8, 2017.

 

Dwan Williams, 32, 203 Baker Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 5:39 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of conspiracy to commit armed robbery and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute. A deputy located Williams at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin. Williams was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Shauna F. Kidder, 44, 3605 Fourth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 7:51 pm on a warrant for disturbing the peace (fighting) and criminal trespass. A deputy responding to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Bayou Vista made contact with Kidder and located the active warrant for her arrest. The warrant stems from an investigation into a report of a battery that occurred in Patterson. The deputy found evidence that Kidder entered onto property without the owner’s permission and took part in a fight involving several other subjects. Kidder was transported to the parish jail. Bail is set at $1,250. The case remains under investigation.

 

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

 

Nolan Saujon, Jr., 40, 605 General McArthur Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 7:10 pm for the following offenses:

    • Failure to signal 100 feet prior to an intersection
    • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
    • Possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone)
    • Possession of drug paraphernalia
    • Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)
    • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving while intoxicated 2nd offense, driving under suspension, careless operation of a motor vehicle, hit and run driving, and expired vehicle license
    • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving while intoxicated, parking outside a business or residence, driving under suspension, and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation

Mary Driskill, 61, 3107 Second Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 7:10 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)

Eric Driskill, 41, 3107 Second Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on December 1, 2016 at 7:10 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine)
  • Possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia

Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Section detectives were patrolling Morgan City with members of the Morgan City Police Department Narcotics Division when they observed a vehicle fail to signal a maneuver on US Highway 90 in Morgan City. Detectives conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Saujon, and passengers, M. Driskill and E. Driskill. While speaking with occupants, detectives received consent to search the vehicle and located a container with hydrocodone pills and a pipe used for smoking methamphetamine inside. Detectives also located methamphetamine in the vehicle. Saujon, M. Driskill, and E. Driskill were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
