According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Wayne D. Meads, Jr., 36, 122 Rose Lane, Labadieville, LA was arrested on November 15, 2016 at 11:25 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A correctional officer transported Meads from the Lafourche Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office on the warrant. Bail is set at $5,730.87.
Kimberly Evans, 24, 2280 River Road, Berwick, LA was arrested on November 15, 2016 at 6:37 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of reckless operation of a vehicle, operating a vehicle with a suspended license, operating a vehicle without insurance, and expired motor vehicle inspection. A correctional officer at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center located the active warrant for Evans. Evans remains housed at the Morgan City Police Department jail. Bail on the warrant is set at $750.
Jamal M. Gibson, 29, 115 Headland Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on November 15, 2016 at 9:23 pm on the following warrants:
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, and possession of drug paraphernalia
A deputy was contacted by Berwick Police who detained Gibson at the intersection of Fifth and Utah Streets on the warrants. The deputy transported Gibson to the parish jail. No bail is set.
