Arrest Report - November 9, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

 

John A. Banks, 43, 100 Sorrel Road #2, Sorrel, LA was arrested on November 7, 2016 at 3:56 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute
  • Possession of Schedule I (marijuana)
  • Possession of drug paraphernalia
  • Obstruction of justice=
  • Resisting an officer
  • 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charge of careless operation of a motor vehicle

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at the above listed address. Morgan City and Franklin Police assisted. When detectives entered the residence, they observed Banks run to the bathroom and attempt to flush several bags of methamphetamine down the toilet. Detectives detained Banks and recovered the illegal drugs. Detectives also located burnt marijuana cigarettes, a digital scale, and plastic baggies inside the residence. Following the investigation, Banks was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 48-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 76 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Yvishia Levine, 26, 1209 Third Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 7, 2016 at 11:39 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of violation of a protective order and resisting an officer. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrant for Levine. No bail is set.

 

Hiram Eugene, Sr., 35, 413 Estate Drive, New Iberia, LA was arrested on November 8, 2016 at 1:51 am for failure to signal, driving with a suspended license, and on a warrant for driving with a suspended license, operating a vehicle with an expired license plate, and operating a vehicle without proof of insurance. A deputy patrolling Baldwin conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that failed to signal a turn onto Highway 182. The deputy spoke with the driver, Eugene, and learned that he was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. The deputy also located the active warrant for Eugene’s arrest. Eugene was transported to the parish jail. Bail is set at $3,750.

 

Stacey L. Grubb, 36, 321 Highway 90, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 8, 2016 at 5:25 pm on a warrant for simple assault and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of methamphetamine, possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Grubb was also charged on a warrant for failure to appear on the counts of possession of methamphetamine, possession of Schedule I drugs, and possession of drug paraphernalia. Franklin Police arrested Grubb on the warrants. A correctional officer transported Grubb to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. The warrant for simple assault was obtained following an investigation into a complaint that Grubb threatened a victim’s life on a social media website. Bail is set at $61,000.

 

Roy Daigle, 66, 905 Pete Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on November 8, 2016 at 8:54 am for operating a vehicle with a suspended license. A deputy conducting a traffic stop in Berwick on Highway 182 learned that the driver of the vehicle, Daigle, was operating the pick-up truck with a suspended driver’s license. Daigle was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

 

Aris Stacy, 55, 210 Jones Road #1, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on November 8, 2016 at 5:39 pm for operating a vehicle with a suspended license, hit and run driving, and possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles. A deputy responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on US Highway 90 between LA Highway 318 and LA Highway 83. During the course of the investigation, the deputy made contact with the driver, Stacy, at his residence. Stacy admitted to the deputy that he left the scene of the crash because he did not have a driver’s license. Stacy was released on a summons to appear in court on February 3, 2017.

 

Ricky J. Simon, 58, 108 Romero Lane, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on November 8, 2016 at 11:07 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxication). A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Sorrel. The deputy spoke with the subjects involved and found that Simon was banging on the door to a residence and yelling causing a disturbance. Simon was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
