According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 29 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Charles Ram, 55, 163 Roma Drive, Breaux Bridge, LA was arrested on October 26, 2016 at 11:00 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of speeding, direct contempt, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A correctional officer transported Ram from the St. Martin Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $334.50.
Orenthal J. Poole, 37, 216 Jupiter Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 26, 2016 at 10:59 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A deputy stopped to speak with a subject who was walking on Arlington Street in Bayou Vista. The deputy identified the subject as Poole and located the active warrants for his arrest. Poole was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $19,197.11.
