Arrest Report - October 24, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 105 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Raoul Sheets, 61, 913 Myrtle Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. A deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Highway 90 in Berwick. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Sheets, and located the active warrant for his arrest. Sheets was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Derrick Johnson, 35, 357 Highway 400, Labadieville, LA was arrested on October 21, 2016 at 11:25 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A correctional officer transported Johnson from the Assumption Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $6,000.

 

Parish Bias, 25, 111 Sternburg Drive, Lafayette, LA was arrested on October 21, 2016 at 3:42 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks. A correctional officer transported Bias from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Bail is set at $250.

 

Mark Robin, Jr., 32, 1607 Cynthia Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 22, 2016 at 2:05 am for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). A deputy responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a residence in Franklin. During the investigation, the deputy made contact with Robin on Palmer Lane and collected evidence that Robin grabbed a female victim by the hair during an argument. Robin was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was released on a $3,500 bond.

 

Joshua Lanham, 27, 1624 Kirk Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 23, 2016 at 1:54 am for aggravated battery and simple battery. Deputies investigated a report of a battery that occurred at a residence in Cypremort Point. Deputies found evidence that Lanham entered into the bedroom of the male victim and struck him in the back with a glass bottle. Deputies also found that Lanham pushed the victim to the floor during the confrontation. Lanham was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Dicie Fulks, 32, 272 Cremo Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 23, 2016 at 10:19 am for domestic abuse battery. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Patterson. During the investigation, the deputy collected evidence that Fulks grabbed a female victim’s face causing a scratch during an argument between the two. Fulks was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,500.

 

Alexander Voorhies, 31, 150 Twin Oaks Boulevard, Lafayette, LA was arrested on October 23, 2016 at 2:43 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. Deputies conducting a traffic stop on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista made contact with the driver, identified as Voorhies. During the stop, Voorhies admitted to deputies that he had a pipe used to smoke marijuana inside the vehicle. Voorhies was released on a summons to appear in court on January 4, 2017.

 

Janice Brast, 63, 2125 Becnal Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on October 23, 2016 at 11:42 pm on a warrant for criminal damage to property. A deputy was notified by Franklin Police that Brast was in custody on the warrant. A deputy transported Brast from the Franklin Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. The warrant was issued following a complaint of property damage to a cell phone. A deputy collected evidence that Brast threw a female victim’s phone during an argument with another subject. Bail is set at $500.
