Arrest Report - October 19, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 52 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

John W. Daniels, 52, 4209 12th Street, Lake Charles, LA was arrested on October 18, 2016 at 1:28 pm on a warrant for probation violation. A correctional officer transported Daniels from the Calcasieu Parish Jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Daniels was released on a $15,000 bond.

 

Judith Fabre, 23, 610 Sebby’s Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on October 18, 2016 at 3:23 pm on the following warrants:

  • Warrant for theft of assets of an aged or disabled person and forger
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of failure to stop at a stop sign, no driver’s license on person, and failure to honor written promise to appea
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and failure to honor written promise to appea
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of disturbing the peace (offensive language)

A deputy located Fabre on Sebby’s Lane on the warrants. The warrant for theft of assets of an aged person and forgery was obtained following an investigation into a complaint of stolen checks received in July. The deputy working the case gathered evidence that Fabre stole several checks from an elderly victim while she was a guest in the victim’s home in Bayou Vista. The deputy also found evidence that Fabre forged the checks at several businesses in the area. The amount of the forged checks totaled over $600. Fabre was located on Sebby’s Lane, arrested on the warrants, and transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Chad Bertrand, 32, 517 Joey Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on October 18, 2016 at 4:00 pm for the following offenses:

  • Possession of Schedule II (Adderall)
  • Possession of Schedule II (Concerta)
  • Warrant for forgery
  • Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal mischief

A deputy working to locate Bertrand on the warrants developed information that he was staying at a residence on Southeast Boulevard in Bayou Vista. Deputies located Bertrand in a bedroom of an apartment. Deputies also found over a dozen Adderall pills and 2 Concerta pills in the room. The warrant for forgery stems from an investigation into a complaint of stolen checks from a residence in the Patterson area. The St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office received the complaint in April. The deputy assigned to the case found evidence that Bertrand took several checks from the victim’s residence where he was staying, forged the victim’s name, and cashed the checks at a business in Bayou Vista. The forged checks totaled $470. Bertrand was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Erica L. Alexander, 33, 1120 King Drive, Marrero, LA was arrested on October 18, 2016 at 7:43 pm for theft. A deputy responded to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista. Store security personnel contacted the Sheriff’s Office after seeing a subject in the store who was a suspect in a previous shoplifting case that was reported in September. The deputy identified the subject as Alexander and collected evidence that she stole a laptop computer from the business. Alexander was released on a summons to appear in court on January 4, 2016.
