Arrest Report - September 26, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 110 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Alexander O. Mallo, 27, 11117 Southwest Fifth Street, Yukon, OK was arrested on September 22, 2016 at 2:34 am for the following offenses:

 

- Operating a vehicle while intoxicated, 3rd offense

- Driving left of center

- No driver’s license

- Failure to transfer title

 

A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle swerve across the centerline twice and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Mallo, and learned that he was driving the vehicle with an expired driver’s license and with expired registration that was in another subject’s name. While speaking with Mallo, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The deputy administered a field sobriety test. Mallo conducted the test poorly. Mallo submitted to a blood test, the results of which are pending. Following the investigation, the deputy transported Mallo to the parish jail for booking. Mallo was released on a $1,500 bond.

 

Jonathan Brown, Sr., 57, 403 Clarke Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 23, 2016 at 10:42 pm for aggravated assault with a firearm and disturbing the peace. Deputies responded to reports of a subject with a shotgun who was making threats to people in the area of Clarke Road and Canal Street in Bayou Vista. Deputies located the subject, identified as Brown, at his residence and detained him pending further investigation. Deputies then gathered evidence indicating that Brown went to another residence in the area with the weapon and began banging on the door of the home while yelling profanities. Deputies also found evidence that Brown pointed the weapon at a male subject who was riding a bicycle in the area. Brown was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Ciara Percle, 30, 1501 North First Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 23, 2016 at 12:28 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy responding to a request to remove a subject from a residence in the Patterson area made contact with Percle. While speaking with several subjects on scene, the deputy learned that Percle had drug paraphernalia in her purse. The deputy received consent to search the purse and located a syringe use to inject methamphetamine. Percle was released on a summons to appear in court on December 14, 2016.

 

John Lyons, 51, 701 Trowbridge Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 23, 2016 at 2:29 pm for theft of a motor vehicle.

 

Cyrilla Lyons, 51, 701 Trowbridge Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 23, 2016 at 3:47 pm for possession of Schedule II (amphetamine).

 

Deputies investigating a complaint of a stolen vehicle learned that J. Lyons drove a vehicle without the owner’s permission. Deputies also located an amphetamine pill inside the vehicle suspected of belonging to C. Lyons. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Lindsey M. Phillips, 32, 4412 Highway 24, Bourg, LA was arrested on September 23, 2016 at 6:45 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of driving under suspension. A correctional officer transported Phillips from the Terrebonne Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. Bail is set at $2,500.

 

Anthony C. Manuel, 48, 723 Kent Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on September 23, 2016 at 8:02 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A correctional officer transported Manuel from the Iberia Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. Bail is set at $9,192.

 

Brett Givens, 25, 127 Emy’s Lane, Lot #57, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 24, 2016 at 1:54 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of Schedule I drugs and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana with intent to distribute, transactions involving drug proceeds, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A deputy responded to a request to remove a subject from a business on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista and made contact with Givens. While speaking with him, the deputy located the two active warrants for his arrest. Givens was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Brandon Guidry, 31, 142 Natalie Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 24, 2016 at 10:51 am for no insurance and child passenger restraint violation. A deputy observed a vehicle traveling at a high rate of speed down Zenor Road. The driver of the vehicle, identified as Guidry abruptly stopped the vehicle, and began speaking with the deputy. While talking with Guidry, the deputy discovered that he was operating the vehicle without insurance. The deputy also observed a toddler in the rear seat of the vehicle without a child safety seat. Guidry was released on summons to appear in court on December 14, 2016.

 

Dayna Breaux, 37, 7175 Park Road, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 25, 2016 at 1:13 am on a warrant from Iberia Parish for issuing worthless checks. A deputy made contact with Breaux outside of a business in Bayou Vista. While speaking with Breaux, the deputy located the active warrant for her arrest. Breaux was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Deron Bourgeois, 34, 142 Caesar Lane, Franklin, LA was arrested on September 25, 2016 at 12:06 pm on 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charge of criminal neglect of family. A deputy observed a subject with active warrants inside a vehicle traveling on Highway 83 and stopped the vehicle. The deputy made contact with Bourgeois and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $15,745.85.

 

Lisa Guerrero, 34, 276 Vivian Street, Bayou L’Ourse, LA was arrested on September 25, 2016 at 1:15 pm for failure to report an accident, no insurance, and expired driver’s license. A deputy was dispatched to a 2 vehicle crash on Highway 90 in Amelia. The deputy learned that the driver of a car side swiped a vehicle. The driver of the car stopped briefly, then left scene of the crash. The deputy gave a description of the car to neighboring agencies and the suspect vehicle was located in Assumption Parish by an Assumption Parish sheriff’s deputy. During the course of the investigation, the driver of the car, identified as Guerrero, admitted to be involved in the crash. The deputy also found that she was operating the vehicle without insurance and with an expired driver’s license. Guerrero was released on a summons to appear in court on December 14, 2016.

 

Michael Gonzales, 28, 1000 Ditch Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 25, 2016 at 10:00 pm for the following offenses:

 

- Criminal trespass

- 2 counts of resisting an officer

- Disturbing the peace (profanity)

- Warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal damage to property

 

A deputy was dispatched to a report of a suspicious person on Friendship Alley in Amelia. The deputy located a male subject matching the description given by the complainant. When the deputy identified himself as a sheriff’s deputy and requested that the man speak with him, the subject fled on foot. The deputy located the subject hiding behind a vehicle. The subject, identified as Gonzales, was detained. The deputy collected evidence that Gonzales was trespassing. During the investigation, Gonzales attempted to pull away from the deputy and yelled profanities causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. The deputy also located an active warrant for his arrest. Gonzales was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Kerri Comeaux, 41, 124 Charenton Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on September 25, 2016 at 10:35 pm for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). A deputy was dispatched to a report of a disturbance in progress at a residence in Charenton. Upon arrival, the deputy heard a subject yelling inside the residence. The subject was identified as Comeaux. During the course of the investigation, the deputy found evidence that Comeaux threw a pot at a male victim during an argument. A child was present during the battery. Comeaux was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Cheryl Jones, 57, 407 Broussard Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on September 26, 2016 at 12:46 am for operating a vehicle while intoxicated and careless operation of a motor vehicle. A deputy was dispatched to a 2 vehicle crash on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. While speaking with one of the drivers, identified as Jones, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and person. The deputy performed a field sobriety test. Jones conducted the test poorly and later registered a 0.108g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. Jones was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Leroy Davis, III, 25, 415 Adams Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on September 25, 2016 at 11:27 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of alcohol by a person under the age of 21. A deputy made contact with Davis on Highway 90 in Bayou Vista. While speaking with him, the deputy located an active warrant for his arrest. Davis was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $2,500.
