Arrest Report - September 15, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 32 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Jody Cubbedge, Sr., 58, 311 7th Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on September 14, 2016 at 11:37 am on a warrant for issuing worthless checks. A correctional officer transported Cubbedge from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. Bail is set at $500.

 

Justin Scarbrough, 24, 1232 Delmar Avenue, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 14, 2016 at 7:37 pm for domestic abuse battery. Deputies were dispatched to a report of a disturbance in progress at the address listed above on Delmar Avenue. Dispatchers also received information that a male subject, identified as Scarbrough, threatened a victim with a gun. Deputies arrived at the residence and also made contact with the complainant who was at separate location. Deputies searched the house and surrounding area for the suspect and located Scarbrough as he walking towards the house. Scarbrough was detained. During the course of the investigation, deputies found evidence that Scarbrough repeatedly yelled threats at a female victim and pushed her. Deputies did not find evidence that Scarbrough used a weapon during the encounter. Scarbrough was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. The case remains under investigation.

 

Alyssa L. Sauce, 20, 1232 Delmar Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 14, 2016 at 7:24 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. During a search of 1232 Delmar Avenue related to a complaint of a disturbance in progress, deputies located a small amount of marijuana and multiple items of drug paraphernalia. Sauce was released on a summons to appear in court on December 14, 2016.

 

Thomas A. Streetman, 27, 165 B Mary Garrett Road, Charenton, LA was arrested on September 14, 2016 at 7:45 pm for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment) and 2 counts simple battery. Deputies received a report of a domestic battery that occurred at a residence in Charenton. Dispatchers received a description of the suspect involved and a deputy located him on Highway 182 in Baldwin. The suspect was identified as Streetman. Deputies found evidence that Streetman struck 2 female victims and a male victim during a confrontation at the residence. Streetman was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Leon Sylvester, 32, 129 Pluto Street, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on September 14, 2016 at 11:52 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery. A deputy obtained the warrant after investigating a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Bayou Vista on September 10, 2016. The deputy collected evidence that Sylvester struck a female victim in the face and pushed her to the floor during an argument that occurred in August. Sylvester turned himself in on the warrant at is residence. A deputy transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
