According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:
Mia M. Blair, 19, 508 Greenwood Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on August 22, 2016 at 7:16 pm on a warrant for failure to appear for a drug court status conference and for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court. A deputy located Blair at her residence on the warrant and transported her to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $100,000.
2 juvenile females, ages 15 and 16, both of Franklin, were arrested on August 22, 2016 at 9:39 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a residence in Franklin. The deputy observed 2 juvenile female subjects outside of a residence screaming that they wanted to fight 2 other subjects inside the home. Both juveniles were detained. During course of the investigation, the deputy collected evidence that the 2 juvenile females were engaged in a physical encounter with two other juveniles at the residence. Both juveniles were released to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.
Paul Howse, 55, 109 Pecan Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 22, 2016 at 9:54 pm for domestic abuse battery (child endangerment). A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a residence in Patterson. The deputy made contact with Howse outside the residence and observed him stumble as he walked. The deputy also observed Howse slur his words as he talked. During the course of the investigation, the deputy found evidence that Howse forcefully grabbed a female victim’s face while yelling and screaming at her. Two juveniles were in the residence at the time the domestic abuse occurred. Howse was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
Richard Turner, Jr., 56, 733 Utah Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on August 22, 2016 at 10:58 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of undersized red drum. Turner turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. He was released on a $2,000 bond.
According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:
Donnie Williams, 43, 321 Ellis Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 22, 2016 at 4:34 pm for the following offenses:
- Possession of marijuana
- Possession of drug paraphernalia
- Driving under suspension
- Improper lane usage
A detective with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Section observed a vehicle cross the fog line several times on Highway 90 on the Morgan City bridge. The detective conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver who was identified as Williams. The detective found that Williams’ driver's license was listed as suspended. While speaking with Williams, the detective received consent to search his person and vehicle. The detective located a marijuana cigar, commonly referred to as a blunt, in Williams pants pocket and a cigar pack containing marijuana seeds in the vehicle. Following the investigation, Williams was released on a summons to appear in court on November 21, 2016.
