Arrest Report- August 19, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 27 complaints and reports the following arrest:

 

Lorie Souther, 37, 913 Catherine St, Lockport LA, was arrested on August 18, 2016 at 12:33pm on a warrant issued by the St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office on charges of Theft of goods ($500-$1500) and Possession of Schedule II narcotics. A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista area made contact with Souther on Southeast Blvd. Souther was transported to the parish jail for booking.

 

Kirk Anslum, 34, 103 Badger Trl, Lafayette LA, was arrested on August 18, 2016 at 9:47pm on a warrant for possession of methamphetamine, possession of lisdexamefetamine, possession of alprazolam, possession of drug paraphernalia, speeding, and revisiting an officer. Anslum was transported from the Lasalle Correctional Center in Ruston LA to the Law Enforcement Center in Centerville. No bail is set.

 

Edward Ford, 52, 197 Yellow Bayou Rd, Centerville LA, was arrested on August 18, 2016 at 6:28pm for a violation of the parish ordinance related to nuisance animals. A deputy responded to a complaint of a loose dog on Yellow Bayou Road. During the course of the investigation the deputy learned that Ford was the dog’s caretaker. Ford was released on a summons to appear to court on November 21, 2016.

 

 

 According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

 

Victory Ho, 37, 1224 Fig St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on August 18, 2016 at 11:21am on the following charges:

-Possession of Marijuana with intent to distribute

-Possession of Schedule II (Percocet) with intent to distribute

-Possession of Schedule II (Lortab) with intent to distribute

-Possession of Schedule II (Norco) with intent to distribute

-Possession of Schedule IV (Xanax) with intent to distribute

-Possession of Drug paraphernalia with intent to distribute

-Transactions involving drug proceeds

-Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance

-Violation of the Controlled dangerous substance law (Drug free zone)

-Distribution/ Manufacturing/ Sale/ Possession of Synthetic Urine

 

Dam Nguyen, 62, 1621 Glenmont St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on August 18, 2016 at 11:21am on the following charge:

-Possession of a Legend Drug (Prednisone)

 

Erica Gaddy, 28, 1224 Fig St, Morgan City LA, was arrested on August 18, 2016 at 11:33am on the following charges:

-Possession of marijuana

-Possession of Schedule II (Subutex)

-Possession of drug paraphernalia

-Violation of controlled dangerous substance law (Drug Free zone)

 

On August 18, 2016, Detectives with the St Mary Parish Narcotics Section conducted multiple search warrants in the Morgan City area. The search warrants stem from a long-term investigation regarding the sale and possession of illegal narcotics. The searches were conducted simultaneously- one at a residence on Fig St and the other at a business on Fifth St. Morgan City Police Department assisted with those searches.

During the course of the residence search on Fig St, detectives located marijuana, Subutex pills, and numerous items of drug paraphernalia. As a result, Erica Gaddy was arrested and transported to the parish jail. She was later released after posting a $5,000 bond.

At the search of the business of Fifth St, detectives located marijuana, several prescription pills, numerous items of paraphernalia, firearms and synthetic urine. Victory Ho was arrested and transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $235,000. During the execution of the search warrant, Dam Nguyen was found to be in possession of Prednisone pills. She was transported to the parish jail for booking. She was released on a $1,500 bail.

Narcotics Detectives seized, pending forfeiture, more than $27,000 in US currency and 2008 SUV.
