Arrest Report - August 4, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

 

Chantal Burke, 22, 521 Tiffany Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 3, 2016 at 6:55 pm for a Patterson Police Department warrant for leash law violation. The K-9 Unit conducting a traffic stop on Waveland Street in Patterson made contact with a passenger, Burke, and located the active warrant for her arrest. Burke was transported to the parish jail for booking. She was later transferred to the Patterson Police Department jail.

 

Amanda Free, 36, 1701 River Road, Berwick, LA was arrested on August 3, 2016 at 8:29 pm on a warrant for monetary instrument abuse. Narcotics detectives conducting an unrelated investigation at a Morgan City residence located several fake $100 bills. Detectives found evidence that the counterfeit money was being printed by Free at her residence. A detective obtained a warrant for her arrest. Free turned herself in at the Berwick Police Department on the warrant. Detectives transported Free to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Bobby Mouton, 41, 806 Tall Timbers Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 3, 2016 at 8:12 pm for possession of marijuana. A detective with the K-9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on Pete Street in Patterson and made contact with a passenger, identified as Mouton. During the traffic stop investigation, K-9 Buddy was deployed and indicated a response on the area where Mouton was seated. During a search of Mouton, the detective located a small amount of marijuana in Mouton’s pocket. Mouton was released on a summons to appear on court on November 21, 2016.

 

Sherlock J. Levison, 47, 1805 Main Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 3, 2016 at 9:51 pm for the following offenses:

- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

- Possession of Schedule II (crack cocaine) with intent to distribute

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- Possession of marijuana

- Transactions involving drug proceeds

- Possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of a juvenile

 

Jalen Scott, 23, 511 Park Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 3, 2016 at 9:51 pm for possession of MDMA (ecstasy).

 

Jeremiah Owens, 29, 312 McGee Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 3, 2016 at 9:51 pm for possession of marijuana and possession of MDMA (ecstasy).

 

Detectives conducted a search warrant at 1805 Main Street, the residence of Levison. Upon arrival, detective made contact with two male subjects outside the residence identified as Scott and Owens. Detectives located one ecstasy pill and a small amount of marijuana on Owens’ person and one ecstasy pill on Scott’s person. During a search of the residence, detectives located several rocks of crack cocaine, several bags of marijuana, and items of drug paraphernalia. Detectives also located just over $300 in cash (US currency). During the course of the investigation, detectives found evidence that the money was derived from illegal drug sales. Scott and Owens were released on summonses to appear in court on November 21, 2016. Levison was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set for Levison.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 35 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Herbert J. Jenkins, 61, 116 Ivory Lane, Charenton, LA was arrested on August 3, 2016 at 12:55 am for license plate light required and no motor vehicle insurance. A deputy patrolling Baldwin observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 without an operational license plate light. The deputy then observed that the vehicle pulled into a closed business, quickly made a U-turn, and pulled back onto the Highway. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Jenkins. While speaking with him, the deputy found that Jenkins was operating the vehicle without insurance. Jenkins was released on a summons to appear in court on November 21, 2016.

 

Kenneth K. Phillips, 47, 128 Miggy Lane, Baldwin, LA was arrested on August 3, 2016 at 2:16 am for the following offenses:

- License plate light required

- No motor vehicle insurance

- No motor vehicle inspection sticker

- Expired driver’s license

A deputy patrolling Baldwin observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 with only one operational headlight and no visible license plate. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Phillips. The deputy found that Phillips was operating the vehicle without insurance and that his driver’s license was expired. Phillips was released on a summons to appear in court on November 21, 2016.

 

Jason Cavalier, 38, 148 Cremo Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on August 3, 2016 at 10:42 am on a warrant for theft. A deputy investigating a report of a theft of a television collected evidence that Cavalier took a flat screen TV from the victim’s residence while he was staying at the home. A warrant was issued for Cavalier’s arrest. A deputy located Cavalier at his residence and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $1,000.
