Arrest Report - August 1, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 72-hour weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 123 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Emile Jack, III, 47, 300 Bollard Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 29, 2016 at 10:41 am on a Baldwin Police Department warrant for theft. A deputy responded to a request for assistance from the Baldwin Police Department regarding an irate subject who was wanted on the active warrant. The deputy made contact with Jack at the Baldwin Police Department and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Kyle M. Gregory, 31, 753 Beach Road, Camden, AL was arrested on July 29, 2016 at 11:46 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension and failure to signal when turning. A correctional officer transported Gregory from the Avoyelles Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. No bail is set.

 

 

Drizzt Morales, 19, Franklin, LA was additionally charged with simple battery on July 29, 2016 at 1:22 pm.    

 

Tyler Francis, 20, Morgan City, LA was additionally charged with simple battery on July 29, 2016 at 1:22 pm.

 

Damien Hale, 26, Franklin, LA was additionally charged with simple battery on July 29, 2016 at 1:22 pm.

 

Raven Mayon, 20, Gibson, LA was additionally charged with simple battery on July 29, 2016 at 1:22 pm.

 

A correctional officer at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center observed several inmates fighting in a dorm. The inmates were separated and an investigation was conducted by the jail security team. After being treated by jail medical personnel, one of inmate was transported to an area hospital for additional treatment. Correctional officers collected evidence that Morales, Francis, Hale, and Mayon struck another inmate in the face and head area. The victim was released from the medical facility and transferred back to the law enforcement center. Morales, Francis, Hale, and Mayon remain incarcerated with no bail set.

 

 

Blake Leblanc, 52, 108 Jordin Lane, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 29, 2016 at 8:44 pm for criminal damage to property and disturbing the peace. A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence on Jordin Lane and learned that Leblanc was yelling and attempting to fight another subject in the area. The deputy transported Leblanc to the parish jail for booking. Leblanc was released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016.

 

Tammy Triggs, 46, 1101 James Street, Lot #2, Siracusa, LA was arrested on July 29, 2016 at 10:31 pm for simple battery. A deputy responded to a disturbance at a business on Grace Street in Siracusa. The deputy made contact with Triggs and several others at the location. During the investigation, the deputy collected evidence that Triggs struck a female victim. The deputy also learned that Triggs went to the location with the intent to commit the battery. Triggs was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $500.

 

 

Bonnie Bass, 37, 111 Lincoln Drive, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 29, 2016 at 11:41 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting).

 

Rebecca Causey, 25, 203 Jones Street, Apt. #3, Berwick, LA was arrested on July 29, 2016 at 11:41 pm for disturbing the peace (fighting).

 

A deputy responded to a disturbance at a business on Highway 182 in Bayou Vista. The deputy made contact with all parties involved and learned that Bass and Causey were engaged in an argument when they began fighting with each other. Both subjects were released on summonses to appear in court on October 17, 2016.  

 

 

Sabrina Silas, 27, 514 Frederick Lane, Lot #14, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 30, 2016 at 2:51 am for simple battery. A deputy responded to a report of a disturbance at a business on Northwest Boulevard in Franklin. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a female subject, later identified as Silas, attack a second female subject who was inside a car. Following an investigation, the deputy transported Silas to the parish jail. Silas was released on a $500 bond.

 

Eric J. Provost, Jr., 805 Jefferson Terrace, New Iberia, LA was arrested on July 30, 2016 at 3:19 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, failure to use seatbelts, operating a vehicle without a driver’s license, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A deputy assigned to patrol Cypremort Point observed a vehicle pull into the driveway of a residence on Highway 319. Being familiar with the residents in that area, the deputy suspected that the vehicle did not belong at the location and made contact with driver, identified as Provost. While speaking with Provost, the deputy located the active warrant for his arrest. The deputy transported Provost to the parish jail for booking. Provost was released on a $325 bond.

 

Brennan Burney, 906 Irish Bend Road, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 30, 2016 at 12:48 pm for illegal possession of a stolen firearm and on a warrant from Southern University Police Department for 3 counts of illegal possession of stolen things. A deputy investigating a previous complaint made contact with Burney who was sitting in a vehicle parked outside a residence on Rod Lane Baldwin. While speaking with Burney, a deputy received consent to search the vehicle and located a handgun. As the investigation progressed, the deputy found that Burney was wanted on an active warrant out of Ascension Parish. The deputy also found that the handgun in Burney’s possession had been reported stolen. Burney was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Tony Clark, 34, 409 Brashear Avenue, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 30, 2016 at 7:33 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, speeding, and no driver’s license. Clark was transported by a Lafourche Parish deputy to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Archie Jones, 21, 408 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on July 31, 2016 at 4:11 am for 3 counts domestic abuse battery (in the presence of juveniles) and criminal damage to property. Deputies responded to a report of a domestic altercation at a residence on Saturn Road. Initial reports from complainants indicated that Jones forced a female victim into a vehicle and left the location. Deputies located the suspect vehicle. While conducting a traffic stop, a deputy observed Jones climb into the back seat of the vehicle. The deputy made contact with Jones and detained him pending further investigation. Deputies found evidence that Jones pushed a female victim and punched a female victim and male victim during an altercation that took place at the residence. Jones then struck a glass window causing it to break. The domestic battery occurred in the presence of juveniles. Jones was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. The case remains under investigation.

 

Stephen Bias, 51, 303 Egle Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 31, 2016 at 2:49 pm on a warrant for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of probation. A correctional officer located an active warrant for Bias who was already incarcerated at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. No bail is set.

 

Timothy Truong, 21, 160 Village Lane, Amelia, LA was arrested on July 31, 2016 at 2:35 pm on a warrant for domestic abuse battery. The warrant was obtained following an investigation into a report of domestic abuse. The deputy collected evidence that Truong punched a female in the head. A deputy located Truong at his residence and transported him to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

 

Byron K. Wesley, 18, 278 Easy Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 31, 2016 at 5:08 pm for the following offenses:

- Failure to signal 100 feet prior to an intersection

- Reckless operation of a vehicle

- Flight from an officer

- Possession of marijuana

- No insurance

 

Danny Mitchell, 36, 607 Rosebud Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 31, 2016 at 5:08 pm for possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of reckless operation of a vehicle, hit and run driving, and driving under suspension.

 

Dontrell Colbert, 20, 626 Pollard Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 31, 2016 at 5:08 pm for possession of marijuana and on a warrant for simple battery and home invasion.

 

A deputy patrolling Baldwin observed a vehicle fail to signal a turn onto West Railroad Avenue from Collins Street and initiated a traffic stop. The vehicle failed to pull over and continued to travel through the Baldwin area. The driver ran 7 stop signs, traveling at a high rate of speed before losing control of the vehicle on Martin Luther King Road driving off of the roadway. The deputy, with the assistance of a Baldwin police officer, detained the occupants of the vehicle. During the course of the investigation, deputies located a burnt marijuana cigarette and two packs of cigars inside the vehicle. Deputies also found a marijuana cigar on the ground near the vehicle and a small bag of marijuana on Colbert’s person. Deputies also located the active warrants for Mitchell and Colbert. The warrant for Colbert stems from an investigation into a disturbance that occurred at a residence on Lockley Street in Baldwin. The deputy collected evidence that Colbert entered into a male victim’s residence and struck him. All three suspects were transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set for Colbert or Wesley. Mitchell’s bail is set at $6,000.

 

 

Erica Deare, 35, 127 Procter Road, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 31, 2016 at 11:11 pm for careless operation of a vehicle, possession of marijuana, operating a vehicle while intoxicated, and no driver’s license. A deputy responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 87 in the Sorrel area. The deputy located the driver, Deare, walking away from the crashed vehicle on Highway 87. The deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath and person. Deare conducted a field sobriety test poorly and later registered a 0.125g% on a breath test. The deputy also found that she was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license and had a small bag of marijuana inside her purse. Deare was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Quantaneka Burden, 21, 1158 Highway 83, Baldwin, LA was arrested on August 1, 2016 at 2:54 am for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of crack cocaine. During a traffic stop in Baldwin, a deputy located a pipe used to smoke crack cocaine and a small piece of crack cocaine inside the vehicle where Burden, a passenger, was seated. Following the investigation, Burden was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
