Arrest Report - July 27, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 41 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Trent H. Duhon, 21, 294 Ricohoc Drive, Ricohoc, LA was arrested on July 26, 2016 at 9:18 am on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of direct contempt, speeding, and failure to honor written promise to appear and 3 warrants for failure to appear on the charges of failure to appear for a drug court status conference and failure to comply with the terms and conditions of the drug court. A deputy located Duhon at the St. Mary Parish Courthouse in Franklin and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $300,380.

 

Trey Jones, 34, 1045 Ciro Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on July 26, 2016 at 10:21 am on a warrant for failure to appear for an interview at the Office of the District Attorney and 2 warrants for failure to appear on the charges of criminal neglect of family. During booking at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, a correctional officer located the active warrants for Jones’ arrest. No bail is set.

 

 

Clodell O. Lockett, 29, 1123 Highway 318, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 26, 2016 at 4:38 pm for turning movements and required signals and driving under suspension.

 

Trumaine Derouen, 33, 1403 Jefferson Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on July 26, 2016 at 4:38 pm for possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute and resisting an officer (giving false information).

 

A deputy patrolling Four Corners observed a vehicle fail to properly signal a turn at LA Highway 318 and US Highway 90. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Lockett. While speaking with him, the deputy found that Lockett was operating the vehicle with a suspended license. A second deputy responding to assist with the stop made contact with the passenger, Derouen. Derouen initially gave the deputy a false name. That deputy also observed a bag containing crystal meth near the seat where Derouen was sitting. Following the traffic stop investigation, Lockett was released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016. Derouen was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set. 

 

 

Dontrielle Harris, 25, 416 Tabor Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 26, 2016 at 4:17 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of issuing worthless checks and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of theft of goods. A correctional officer transported Harris from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. No bail is set.

 

Vintrell J. Boyd, 34, Grace Street, Siracusa, LA was arrested on July 27, 2016 at 12:58 am for the following offenses:

- Simple battery

- Resisting and officer

- Possession of marijuana

- Domestic abuse battery (in the presence of a juvenile)

Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance at a residence in Siracusa. Deputies entered the residence and observed Boyd grab and pull a female victim’s hair. Boyd refused to comply with a deputy’s orders to release the victim. Several children were in the residence at the time of the battery. Boyd then resisted deputies as they detained him. While searching Boyd for weapons, deputies located a small amount of marijuana in his pocket. Deputies attempted to speak with Boyd. However, his speech was unintelligible. As the investigation continued, deputies collected evidence that Boyd was also involved in an altercation with a male victim. Boyd was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center. Following his release from the medical facility, he was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
