Arrest Report - July 26, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 47 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Raymond Johnson, 42, 812 Lake Palourde Road, Apt. C, Amelia, LA was arrested on July 25, 2016 at 7:38 am on 2 Terrebonne Parish warrants for monetary instrument abuse and failure to appear on the charge of failure to obey traffic control signals. A deputy responding to a complaint made contact with Johnson and located the active warrants from Terrebonne Parish. Johnson was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Kendall Rochelle, 27, 3115 Fifth Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on July 25, 2016 at 8:52 am for driving under suspension. A deputy responded to a report of a single vehicle crash on Highway 90 in Amelia. The deputy located the vehicle near the wooded area off of the highway and made contact with the driver, Rochelle. During the investigation, the deputy found that Rochelle was operating the car with a suspended license. Rochelle was released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016.

 

Mickey D. Collins, 36, 2503 Chitimacha Trail, Charenton, LA was arrested on July 25, 2016 at 10:53 am for the following offenses:

- Stop sign violation

- No driver’s license

- Possession of a firearm or carrying concealed weapon by a person convicted of certain felonies

- Possession of marijuana

A deputy patrolling the Charenton area observed a vehicle fail to stop at a stop sign on Martin Luther King Road and Chitimacha Trail. The deputy conducted a traffic stop. After pulling over, the driver quickly exited the vehicle and began approaching the deputy in an agitated state. The driver, identified as Collins, refused the deputy’s commands to remain stationary. Collins was then detained pending the traffic stop investigation. The deputy observed a small bag containing marijuana on the driver’s side of the vehicle and also located a handgun. The deputy also found that Collins was driving without a license and that he was a convicted felon. The deputy transported Collins to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Barrett Leonard, 40, 401 Shell Beach Road, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on July 25, 2016 at 2:43 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving under suspension, failure to give required signals, and failure to obey traffic control signals. Leonard turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. Bail is set at $500.

 

Aramiha Alexis, 29, 414 Daigre Street, New Iberia, LA was arrested on July 25, 2016 at 4:20 pm for failure to appear for interview at the Office of the District Attorney. Alexis was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

 

Kerri Francois, 36, 512 Leo Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on July 25, 2016 at 6:13 pm for the following offenses:

- Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance

- Possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone, Percocet, Lortab, and Narco)

- Possession of Schedule IV (Tramadol, Provigil, and Xanax)

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at Francois’ residence at 512 Leo Street in Patterson. During the investigation, detectives located marijuana, digital scales, a handgun, and several Schedule II and Schedule IV pills inside the residence. Francois was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
