Arrest Report - July 20, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests: 

Corey Crawford, 23, 367 Pinell Lane, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 19, 2016 at 12:51 pm for the following offenses:

Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Obstruction of justice

Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Amlodipine)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Zolpidem)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Lisinopril)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Cyclobenzaprine)

 

Brenda Crawford, 44, 367 Pinell Lane, Baldwin, LA was arrested on July 19, 2016 at 12:51 pm for the following offenses:

Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Amlodipine)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Zolpidem)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Lisinopril)

Maranda Crawford, 25, 2039 Georgia Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 19, 2016 at 12:51 pm for the following offenses:

Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Amlodipine)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Zolpidem)

Matthew Landry, 25, 2039 Georgia Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 19, 2016 at 12:51 pm for the following offenses:

Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute

Possession of drug paraphernalia

Obstruction of justice

Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Amlodipine)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Zolpidem)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Lisinopril)

Possession of a Legend Drug without a prescription (Cyclobenzaprine)

 

A deputy went to 367 Pinell Lane in Baldwin to conduct a follow-up investigation into a previous complaint. The deputy arrived at the residence and smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from the mobile home. The deputy made brief contact with a male subject inside the residence and ordered him to come outside. The subject refused to comply and slammed the door closed. The deputy heard the continuous sound of running, rushing water and smelled the odor of marijuana emanating from the sewer pipes beneath the residence. The occupants of the residence were ordered to exit the mobile home. While securing the residence, the deputy observed marijuana in and around a toilet. Narcotics Divisions detectives were then contacted to assist in the investigation. Detectives obtained a warrant to search the residence and located a large amount of loose marijuana and multiple plastic baggies containing marijuana in the pipes beneath the toilet. Detectives also found digital scales, additional marijuana, and 4 types of Legend Drug pills in the residence which is located near a church. Following the investigation, the four suspects found inside the residence were transported to the parish jail for booking. The four suspects were released after posting $5,000 bonds.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 34 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Marshall Harden, Jr., 59, 1428 Breaux Bridge Senior High Road, Breaux Bridge, LA was arrested on July 19, 2016 at 1:20 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of simple battery. A correctional officer transported Harden from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Arthur Lewis, 47, 158 Eves Street, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on July 19, 2016 at 5:34 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy responded to a complaint of a suspicious person at a residence in Jeanerette. The deputy made contact with Lewis and observed the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The deputy spoke with family members of Lewis who agreed to help him stay inside until he was sober. A few hours later, a deputy was called to the same location in reference to Lewis walking into people’s yards and cussing at homeowners. The deputy made contact with Lewis a second time and transported him to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $500.

 

Javontre Jackson, 21, 2135 Becnel Street, Franklin, LA was additionally charged with simple battery on July 19, 2016 at 5:23 pm at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center. A correctional officer observed an inmate, Jackson, strike another inmate in the face. Jackson remains incarcerated.

 

Allegra M. Ackerman, 35, 726 Parish Road 131, Franklin, LA was arrested on July 20, 2016 at 1:00 am for no motor vehicle insurance. A deputy responded to a single vehicle crash on Highway 182 in the Centerville area. Upon arrival, the deputy observed a car in the ditch and made contact with the driver, identified as Ackerman. The deputy found that Ackerman was operating the vehicle without insurance. Following the investigation, Ackerman was released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016.
