Arrest Report- July 8, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrest:

 

Tracy Lynn Silva, 51, 7401 Park Street, Morgan City LA, was arrested on July 7, 2016 at 9:50am for no driver’s license, no vehicle insurance and monetary instrument abuse. A deputy assigned to patrol the Amelia area responded to a call at a business in Amelia. Details of the call included that two individuals were attempting to purchase items with counterfeit bills. The deputy later located those individuals during a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Silva, and learned that she did not have a driver’s license or vehicle insurance. Two counterfeit $100 bills were located in an ensuing search. Silva was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Areana Candanedo, 25, 7401 Park Street, Morgan City LA, was arrested on July 7, 2016 at 9:50am for monetary instrument abuse. A deputy assigned to patrol the Amelia area responded to a call at a business in Amelia. Details of the call included that two individuals were attempting to purchase items with counterfeit bills. The deputy later located those individuals during a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the passenger, Candanedo, and discovered that she was in possession of two counterfeit $100 bills. She was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Sean Patrick Stewart, 40, 271 Grandwood Apts #58, Patterson LA, was arrested on July 7, 2016 at 11:26am on a warrant for failing to appear to court on charges of theft over $500 and for a warrant for failing to appear to court on charges of driving under suspension and failure to use a seatbelt. Deputies assigned to patrol the Patterson area located Stewart at a local business and learned of his active warrants. Stewart was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Brittney Fisher, 25, 1901 Saturn Road, Bayou Vista LA, was arrested on July 7, 2016 at 11:06pm on charges of disturbing the peace and possession of Xanax. A deputy assigned to patrol the Bayou Vista area responded to a call of a bicyclist riding in the middle of Teche Rd. Contact was made with the bicyclist, Fisher, as she displayed obvious signs of intoxication. During the course of the investigation, the deputy located xanax pills on her person. She was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

  According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

 

Skilan Gros, 22, 417 Southwest Rd, was arrested on July 7, 2016 at 10:55am for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Heather Dupre, 28, 417 Southwest Rd, was arrested on July 7, 2016 at 10:55am for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

 

Detectives with the narcotics division patrolling the Berwick area observed a cigarette being thrown out of a vehicle’s window. The vehicle also crossed the center-line on several occasions. Detectives initiated a traffic stop and made contact with the driver, Gros, and passenger, Dupre. Dupre was attempting to conceal marijuana. She was detained for further investigation. Detectives conducted an ensuing search of the vehicle and located cigar wraps. Gros admitted that she purchased the marijuana and Dupre grabbed it to hide it. Gros and Dupre were both released on a summons to appear in court on October 17, 2016.

 

Joshua Roshell, 22, 165 Lenny’s Lane, Amelia LA, was arrested on July 6, 2016 at 9:58pm on charges of possession of marijuana, possession of a schedule II narcotic and obstruction of justice. Detectives with the narcotics division were patrolling the Morgan City area when they observed a vehicle fail to utilize a turn signal while on Martin Luther King Boulevard. A traffic stop was initiated and contact was made with the passenger of the vehicle, Roshell. During the course of the stop, marijuana and crack cocaine were located on Roshell’s person. Roshell was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
