Arrest Report - June 14, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 38 complaints and reports the following arrests from the Uniformed Patrol Division:

 

Beau J. Babineaux, 35, 5506 Northside Road, New Iberia, LA was arrested on June 13, 2016 at 10:20 am on a warrant for probation violation. A correctional officer transported Babineaux from the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the warrant. Babineaux was released on a $10,000 bond.

 

Roosevelt Hudson, 61, 412 Bollard Street, Baldwin, LA was arrested on June 13, 2016 at 12:05 am for speeding and driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling Baldwin observed a vehicle traveling at 73 miles per hour in a 55 mile per hour zone. The deputy made a traffic stop and identified the driver as Hudson. While speaking with him, the deputy learned that Hudson was operating the vehicle with a suspended driver’s license. Hudson was released on a summons to appear in court on September 15, 2016.

 

Justin C. Callais, 25, 193 Port Royal Way, Houma, LA was arrested on June 13, 2016 at 4:55 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of resisting an officer by providing false information, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A correctional officer transported Callais from the Terrebonne Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the warrant. He was released on a $750 bond.

 

Miles Bruno, 27, 727 York Street, Samford, North Carolina was arrested on June 13, 2016 at 5:17 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding, direct contempt, and failure to honor written promise to appear. A correctional officer transported Bruno from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the warrant. Bail is set at $365.

 

Donald R. Vilo, Jr., 28, 411 Park Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on June 13, 2016 at 5:19 pm on a warrant from the Patterson Police Department on the charge of distribution of marijuana and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of possession of marijuana. A correctional officer transported Vilo from the Lafayette Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Joshua D. Thibodeaux, 39, 2900 West Willow Street, Scott, LA was arrested on June 14, 2016 at 1:59 am for speeding and possession of Schedule IV alprazolam0 without a prescription. A deputy patrolling Four Corners observed a vehicle traveling on Big Four Corners Road at 37 miles per hour in a 25 miles per hour zone. The deputy initiated a traffic stop. However, the driver continued to travel onto Charles Lane and pulled up to a residence. The deputy then made contact with the driver, identified as Thibodeaux, and detained him pending further investigation. During a search of Thibodeaux’s person, the deputy located a plastic bag containing alprazolam pills. Thibodeaux was unable to provide a prescription for the drugs. The deputy transported Thibodeaux to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

 

Blake A. Giroir, 20, 2943 Third Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on June 14, 2016 at 4:30 am for simple burglary of an inhabited dwelling. A deputy responded to a report of a burglary in progress at a residence on Main Street in Patterson. The deputy developed Giroir as a suspect in the crime and found evidence that Giroir kicked open the door to the residence, entered the home, and took several thousand dollars in cash. The deputy also learned that Giroir was acquainted with the victim. Giroir was located at another residence in the Patterson area. Following the initial investigation, the deputy transported Giroir to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.
