Arrest Report - June 8, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24-hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 32 complaints and reports the following arrests from the Uniformed Patrol Division:

 

Brittany Morgan, 25, 1004 Front Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 7, 2016 at 2:51 pm on 3 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court and on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of synthetic cannabinoids, illegal possession of a controlled dangerous substance in the presence of persons under 17, and possession of drug paraphernalia. A correctional officer transported Morgan from the Kenner Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrants. No bail is set.

 

Clara Watkins, 65, 302 Glenwood Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 7, 2016 at 4:34 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of driving with a suspended license and speeding. Watkins turned herself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin and was transported to the parish jail for booking. She was later released on a $1,000 bond.

 

Aketa Francis, 23, 301 Egle Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on June 8, 2016 at 2:59 am for criminal trespass, remaining where forbidden, and disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy responded to a complaint of trespassing at a residence on Cane Street in Bayou Vista and located Francis knocking on the door of the home. While speaking with Francis, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on her breath. During the investigation, the deputy found that Francis had been advised to stay off of the property by the owner. Francis was transported to the parish jail for booking and was later released on a summons to appear in court on September 15, 2016.
