Arrest Report - April 6, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert the Narcotics Division made the following arrests:

 

Mary R. Driskill, 61, 3107 Second Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 5, 2016 at 6:13 pm for the following offenses:

- Improper lane usage

- Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute

- Obstruction of justice

- Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (drug free zone)

Detectives with the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division and members of the Morgan City police Department Narcotics Division patrolling Berwick observed a vehicle repeatedly cross over the center line on Utah Street. Detectives conducted a traffic stop. When they made contact with the driver, identified as Driskill, they observed her eat suspected methamphetamine. Detectives detained Driskill and recovered some of the illegal drug she attempted to dispose of. While speaking Driskill, she admitted to eating some of the meth. Driskill was transported to Teche Regional Medical Center for evaluation. Upon her release from the medical facility, she was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. This traffic stop and subsequent drug investigation occurred directly in front of a church. No bail is set.

 

Miles J. Borel, 42, 109 Mercury Road, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 5, 2016 at 9:23 pm for the following offenses:

- Possession of Schedule II (methamphetamine) with intent to distribute

- Possession of Schedule I (marijuana) with intent to distribute

- Possession of Schedule II (fentanyl) with intent to distribute

- Possession of Schedule II (hydrocodone) with intent to distribute

- Possession of Schedule II (oxycodone) with intent to distribute

- Possession of Schedule III (decanoate) with intent to distribute

- Possession Schedule III (testosterone) with intent to distribute

- Possession Schedule III (jintropin) with intent to distribute

- Possession Schedule III (chorionic gonadotropin) with intent to distribute

- Possession Schedule IV (lorazepam) with intent to distribute

- Possession Schedule IV (Xanax) with intent to distribute

- Possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance

- Transactions involving drug proceeds

- Possession of drug paraphernalia

Detectives of the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office Narcotics Division conducted a search warrant at Borel’s residence.  During the course of the search, detectives located a large bag of methamphetamine along with several smaller bags of the drug, multiple bags of marijuana, fentanyl patches, hydrocodone pills, oxycodone pills, Xanax pills, lorazepam pills, bottles of decanoate, testosterone, jintropin, and chorionic gonadotropin. Detectives also located a handgun and $644 in cash believed to be derived from illegal drug sales. Detectives also located items of drug paraphernalia including a digital scale, plastic baggies, rolling papers, and syringes. Borel was transported to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center for booking. No bail is set.

 

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the last 24 hour reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 40 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Taylor Davis, 17, 124 Natalie Lane, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 5, 2016 at 2:26 pm for disturbing the peace (offensive language). Deputies patrolling Bayou Vista were dispatched to a report of a disturbance at The Swamp skate park. Deputies learned from park employees that a male subject was yelling profane language and that the subject had left the area. The deputy located the subject, Davis, on Southeast Boulevard near Highway 182 and positively identified him as the person who was yelling and cursing. Davis was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

 

Stephanie Robertson, 32, 102 Chenevert Street, Lafayette, LA was arrested on April 5, 2016 at 3:41 pm for driver must be licensed, no insurance, and driving on the right side of the road (driving in the left lane). A deputy on Highway 90 in the Ricohoc area observed a driver traveling in the passing lane for several miles without passing. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver, identified as Robertson. The deputy found that Robertson had no driver’s license or insurance on file. Robertson was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

 

Corey Stevens, 30, 1915 River Road, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 5, 2016 at 3:55 pm for possession of drug paraphernalia and on 2 warrants for failure to comply with the terms and conditions of drug court.

David Stevens, Jr., 42, 437 Wilson Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 5, 2016 at 4:06 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of criminal mischief.

Deputies patrolling Bayou Vista observed C. Stevens, a subject with an active warrant, in a vehicle traveling on Highway 90 and stopped the car. The deputy made contact with the driver, D. Stevens, and located an active warrant for his arrest as well. Deputies received consent to search the vehicle and located 2 syringes inside the car. Further investigation revealed that the items of drug paraphernalia belonged to C. Stevens. Both subjects were transported to the parish jail for booking. C. Stevens bail is set at $201,500. D. Stevens bail is set at $5,000.

 

Eric Harvey, 32, 415 Adams Street Apt. #4, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 5, 2016 at 4:13 pm for failure to appear on the charge of distribution of marijuana. A correctional officer conducting the booking of Harvey at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center located an active warrant for his arrest. Harvey was brought to the parish jail on bond surrender. No bail is set.

 

Cedric P. Griffin, 34, 607 Park Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on April 5, 2016 at 8:45 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of possession of Schedule I drugs 3rd offense, possession of drug paraphernalia, and domestic abuse battery. Griffin was brought to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant by a prison transport service from Jefferson County, TX. No bail is set.
