Arrest Report - March 28, 2016

According to St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert, over the 4 day holiday weekend reporting period, the Sheriff’s Office responded to 166 complaints and reports the following arrests:

 

Donald K. Robinson, 47, 311 Cedar Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 24, 2016 at 9:30 am for 250 counts of pornography involving juveniles. St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office detectives, assisting with an investigation conducted by the Attorney General Jeff Landry Cyber Crime Unit, executed a search warrant at Robinson’s residence. Investigators located over 250 images of child pornography on electronic devices belonging to Robinson. Robinson was transported to the parish jail for booking. Bail is set at $350,000.

 

Daniel M. Hernandez, 28, 3536 South Shaver Street #711, Pasadena, TX was arrested on March 24, 2016 at 12:18 pm on a warrant from Franklin Police for bank fraud, forgery, and monetary instrument abuse. A correctional officer transported Hernandez from the St. Tammany Parish jail to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. No bail is set.

 

Blair Johnson, 26, 103 Billie Street, Belle Rose, LA was arrested on March 24, 2016 at 1:34 pm on a warrant for theft of goods and simple assault. Johnson turned himself in at the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. The warrant was issued following an investigation into a complaint of shoplifting from a store in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected evidence that Johnson took several items from the store without paying for them and threatened a store employee who attempted to stop him. Johnson was transported to the parish jail for booking. Johnson was released on a $1,250 bond.

 

Kevin Drexler, 33, Amelia, LA is additionally charged with battery of a correctional facility employee. Drexler, an inmate at the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center, threw water containing urine onto a correctional officer. No bail is set.

 

Jermaine Keys, 40, 138 Violet Street, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on March 24, 2016 at 8:16 pm for disturbing the peace (intoxicated). A deputy responded to a complaint of a disturbance at a residence in Amelia. The deputy located Keys in the area and gathered evidence that he was causing a disturbance in the neighborhood. Keys was transported to the parish jail for booking. He was later released on a summons to appear in court on May 27. 2016.

 

Kayla Jackson, 24, 2237 ½ Highway 318, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on March 24, 2016 at 9:54 am for lighting lamps required and driving under suspension. A deputy assigned to patrol Sorrel observed a car on Highway 182 with only one lit headlight and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy spoke with the driver, Jackson, and also found that she was operating the vehicle with a driver’s license that is listed as suspended. The deputy released Jackson on a summons to appear in court on May 27, 2016.

 

Geraldo Gamez Zamarripa, 31, 728 Magnolia Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on March 24, 2016 at 10:54 pm for stop signs and yield signs (violation), driver must be licensed, and possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles. A deputy assigned to patrol Amelia, observed an SUV fail to stop at a stop sign on Lake Palourde Road and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Zamarripa, and found that he was operating the vehicle without a driver’s license. The deputy also observed an open container of beer in the center console of the vehicle. Zamarripa was transported to the parish jail for booking and was released on a summons to appear in court on May 27, 2016.

 

Joel Plaisance, 28, 1206 Houma Highlands Drive, Houma, LA was arrested on March 25, 2016 at 8:27 pm for hit and run driving. A deputy investigating a report of a hit and run that occurred in January in the parking lot of a business in Amelia collected evidence that Plaisance struck the vehicle and then left the area. Plaisance was released on a summons to appear in court on May 27, 2016.

 

Troy Jenkins, 48, 1047 Eagle Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on March 26, 2016 at 12:58 am for driving under suspension. A deputy traveling on Highway 182 in the Garden City area was signaled to dim his high beams by an approaching vehicle. The deputy dimmed his lights. The approaching driver then began to flash the vehicle’s high beams quickly and repeatedly. The deputy conducted a traffic stop and made spoke with the driver, identified as Jenkins. The deputy found that Jenkins was operating the vehicle with a driver’s license that was listed as suspended. The deputy released Jenkins on a summons to appear in court on May 27, 2016.

 

Stefayne Carter, 25, 1060 Grace Street, Siracusa, LA was arrested on March 26, 2016 at 8:02 pm for proper equipment required (headlight) and possession of Schedule I (marijuana). A deputy traveling on Highway 182 in the Amelia area observed a car with only one working headlight and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, identified as Carter, and smelled the strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle. During the traffic stop investigation, the deputy located marijuana inside a plastic baggie inside a center compartment of the car. Carter was released on a summons to appear in court on May 27, 2016.

 

Buddy Haire, 36, 7967 LA Highway 87, Charenton, LA was arrested on March 26, 2016 at 10:47 pm for criminal trespass. A deputy patrolling the Charenton Levee area near the flood gates observed a vehicle driving on top of the levee. The deputy made contact with Haire, who was operating a four wheeler on the restricted property. Haire was released on a summons to appear in court on May 27, 2016.

 

Juvenile male, 16, Amelia, LA was arrested on March 27, 2016 at 6:53 pm for off road vehicles on a public roadway and resisting an officer (giving false information). A deputy traveling on Highway 182 in the Amelia area observed a subject riding a four wheeler on the roadway and conducted a stop. The deputy made contact with the operator of the ATV who initially gave a false name and age. Following the traffic stop investigation, the deputy released the juvenile to a guardian pending juvenile court proceedings.

 

Sadie Templet, 18, 2101 Levee Highway Lot Q, Pierre Part, LA was arrested on March 27, 2016 at 11:41 pm for contributing to the delinquency of juveniles. A deputy responded to a complaint of a 16 year old intoxicated juvenile male at a residence in Bayou Vista. The deputy collected evidence that the juvenile became intoxicated while in the company of Templet. The deputy made contact with Templet and, following the investigation, released her on a summons to appear in court on May 27, 2016.

                                                                                                        

Russell McGuire, III, 39, 703 Seyburn Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on March 28, 2016 at 12:42 am for license plate light required and driving under suspension. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle without an illuminated license plate and conducted a traffic stop on Southeast Boulevard. The deputy made contact with the driver, McGuire, who told the deputy his driver’s license was expired. Upon further investigation, the deputy learned that McGuire’s driver’s license was listed as suspended. McGuire was released on a summons to appear in court on May 27, 2016.
